I GUESS THAT THE NEWS OF THE BANK GOING OUT OF BUSINESS GOES SOME WAY TO EXPAIN THE APPALLING WAY THEY TREATED ME - I APPLIED FOR AN ACCOUNT TO HELP ME MANAGE FUNDING FOR MY CARERS WHEN THEY SHOP FOR ME - I WAS REJECTED - MY EXPERIAN CREDIT SCORE IS ALMOST ALWAYS 998/999 - NO-ONE COULD BE A SAFER BET - I REPEATEDLY ASKED WHY I WAS REJECTED - THEY SAID THEY HAD NO INFORMATION FOR ME - THEN SAID "AS I HAD AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM PREVIOUSLY" - I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THEM "PREVIOUSLY" - I FEEL THEIR TREATMENT OF ME BORDERED ON ABUSE - BUT NOW I KNOW "IT WAS NOT ME IT WAS THEM".

For all the customer service hiccups, I am really sorry to see the end of U Account. I really enjoyed boycotting banks for one thing, but that is just a fraction of why I'm sad to see them go. I benefitted greatly from the extra accounts feature. The ease of use across accounts and the layout of the site really worked well for me. For once in my life, I finally mastered the art of saving money.
It's the end of an era and I'm honesty sad to see the end of my account with U. Best of luck to the people of U. I hope your future endeavors are successful. Thank you for the experience.

Although I have had no issues with U account, I am very disappointed to note that they are closing down in May, there are no other reputable companies like this that can offer a service as good as U Account. Mainstream banks are nasty, horrible and offer no protection and rubbish security, it would be ideal if U Account would suggest alternatives, instead of just sending emails saying oh we are closing down find something else, it's not as simple as that, at least give your loyal customers some help.
U Account closing down
Although I have had some minor problems with this company, overall they have been pretty good. However, they are now shutting up shop and will no longer exist after May 2022. Very disappointed especially as no explanation was forthcoming. So if you have a U Account debit card please remember to withdraw your money before they permanently close in a couple of months.

Closing Account For No Reason
I just got an email stating they're closing my account. I've had and been using U Account for years, then this. No abnormal activity, no warnings, nothing. I'll just take my business elsewhere.

I have had numerous issues with the so called online banking service provider. Their online portal and process for raising account disputes and queries is inefficient, does in no way obtain accurate information about the issue you as a customer may be experiencing. It's been over a year since the swich over from the old U to the 'new improved U and account balances has still not been resolved - and this is something i raised as soon as I noticed the insane and incorrect running balance on my aacount. I have to add my statemtns up manually every month to validate for myself the balance of my account. Cutomers are being changed fees with no opt out option (ie does anyone remember the difference price point plans with the old U account, what happened toi that>

They are going to close my account at the end of March but will not tell me the reason, they say that I need to read section 15 of the terms and conditions, which I have done but it still tells me nothing. I used to think that the account was a good bank account now I do not so I would not recommend them to anybody.

Absolutely shocking, fraudulent activity on my account and not only would they not refund it, its carried on!! Someone has been taking money out of my account online for 3 months and even after reporting it, it hasn't been stopped one month later!!! Please do not open a account with these charlatans!!! I've removed all money and requested a card change and they have done Absolutely nothing other than asked me to contact the person who is doing it!! Qnd how exactly do they suppose I find someone in America who is taking money out of my account on a daily basis??? I'm not sherlock Holmes!!!! I paid 373 pounds into a closed account of my sons account by mistake and i have been trying to get my money back since august 2021 they passed me on to a firm called railsbank they asked for a screenshot of my transaction which I sent them which they replied sorry we cannot do anything so uaccount Know that money is sitting in that account and they are hellbent on keeping it FRAUDSTERS
