Keep this short and sweet.

I switched from my last server provider service, solely because of there awful customer support. I did a bit of research and looking around ServerMania, I liked what I saw so gave them a shot.

Literally day 1 and my mind is blown at how fast, support and techs works with any issue you bring to them, the welcome messages I got was a plus and overall customer service is unreal!!

I ordered a dedicated bare metal sever…

I ordered a dedicated bare metal sever with additional IP addresses. The system was ready for deployment in several hours. I was able to bring up my services quickly and so far no issues. The only weird thing is that editing rdns/ptr records for my IPs require logging tickets every time, despite rDNS tool being available in the control panel and no explanation was given as to why I can't edit the records myself.

No knowledgeable support.

Until they get some knowledgeable tech support in there, they are in trouble. Rented a server, was activating roles, and doing set up. Got a virus (not from me). The server got flaky and I noticed encrypted files popping up. I was just RDPing in and installing roles, etc. They charged $25 to wipe the machine and didn't take responsibility for the virus. I set it back up and had everything running well. Then I decided to add the role of HyperV so I could add a virtual box. It was installed successfully and when it rebooted, lost access. My RDP and backup tightVNC wouldn't work. They asked for my admin sign-on (the account they created and still their password) and they said they couldn't get access to the network card. Back and forth for a few days. If they don't get some tallet in there, they are screwed.

Very poor service and don't trust what they sell you

Just wanted to warn others about a terrible experience with @Servermania. I ordered a fully dedicated server with full-manage support because I needed more space than my previous server. The new server was supposed to have dedicated IPs, but I did not receive them as part of the original order, and the extra drive that I added was not configured correctly. During the migration process to my new server, the process wasn't complete because there wasn't enough storage space. I received an email saying that I needed to configure the extra storage, but I had already paid for full support and server support.
This delayed the migration by a week. After the migration was finally complete, almost 3 weeks later, I experienced major issues with email and DNS, and I did not get the promised dedicated IPs until I had to speak to sales about it. I asked why they would sell the server with extra IPs without configuring them from the start, and I got no satisfactory answer from them."
After almost three weeks of delays and an incomplete, non-working server, I had no choice but to migrate everything to another provider. This new provider took only half a day to do the entire migration, which made me question why Server Mania couldn't do the same. I would never trust or use Server mania.

The worst ever

server couldn't be connect and the support didn't help with any thing, they didn't even admit it just keep repeating "the server is on". And of course not refundable. If there is 0 star I would give 0.

Incompetent tech support …

It looks they have no tech support at night, my server power supply broke at 1am and now it’s 4am and the support writing us they are working on it. Of corse it’s not true. If you have a problem need to wait for next day working day 🥹

Second update:

After 3 days RAM problem, I saw the error code on the bios but they insisting it’s not their issue, waiting another 5 hours without server. At first they will always tell it’s your issue… why?

Yes IP addresses are not from good reputation for emailing

I'm really sorry to hear that you did not receive the support you needed, when you needed it. It's never good to have your hardware fail. Have you spoken with your Account Executive about this? They should be able to work with you so that this doesn't happen again.

For context, we have 'remote hands' (technicians and engineers on-site) at all of our data centers. They are on call 24 hours a day. When we receive a support request, we action it immediately through our 24/7 support team.

Our data centers are quite large however, and consist of many servers and racks. On occasion our teams need to assist many customers (for racking, upgrades, hardware maintenance, etc.) and are required to prioritize on a first-come first-served basis. It is possible that we were unable to investigate your issue as quickly as we would have liked to.

If your server(s) require 24/7 monitoring, we do offer several tiers of managed services, which might bring you more piece of mind and ensure you receive the best service we can offer.

Please speak with your Account Executive and they will be able to provide some options so that this doesn't happen again.

Servermania Company Sevice was Outstanding and understanding my needs and helping out the best outcome for my project.

I've spoken to Cameron Servermania manager and was very professional, polite and helpful to find solutions to my project. We had a very productive conversation and i feel the support was really strong from online chat to booking a google meeting appointment unlike the company i have right now no online chat and its hard to contact them and when you email them the reply takes ages. Im really happy with servermania and i cant wait to start my project very soon.

Egregious spam host

Egregious spam host. They host B2 Net, a marketing firm that sends unsolicited spam. In addition, their abuse reporting e-mail hard bounces -- not that they'd drop the spammer given their lax policies. They've polluted their own IP space so badly they have to use Google for their own company's email hosting (which, of course, is going to block any incoming spam reports.)

Don't use this company to host anything legitimate, their IP space is radioactive. Bad netizens and bad company.

UPDATE - ServerMania is now abusing TrustPilot's system to flag this as a fake review. VERY shady. It's sad TrustPilot lets companies do this, but I've seen it used as a successful tactic on this site before =\ I have opened a ticket with TrustPilot to provide evidence of my experience with this spam host.

Also note ServerMania do not refute my assertions that they host spammers ('censorship' lol, seriously?? Of SPAM?!) and have poor IP reputation because of it. If you don't like bad reviews... DON'T HOST SPAMMERS. Y'all suck and are actively making the internet a worst place.

We couldn't find you in our systems, nor do we have any trace of an abuse complaint from anybody named Richard. Are you a ServerMania customer? If you are one of our customers, please reach out to your Account Executive directly to resolve any issues you may have.

Otherwise, I've checked with the team responsible for our company email addresses and they've concluded that the email address you're referring to does in fact work as intended, but had an extra forwarder on it that has now been removed.

This however, has had no impact on our ability to receive incoming emails to that box, so there have been no hard bounces. Thanks for pointing out the issue so that we could resolve it.

With respect to your other comments, it's clear that you are unhappy, but your review of ServerMania in the context of spam is misdirected.

Scam Company

Let me start by saying this, ServerMania provides no way to rent a server for a month. The minimum term you're going to end up with is 90 days so go ahead and multiply the hosting cost by 3x because that's what they're going to try to screw out of you. When you set up your server it will take longer than expected and your term begins before it's online and available to you. My server wasn't available until nearly the 5th of the month but my billing period began on the 2nd. Slow setup and ticket times are the norm with this company. But back to the billing problems, before your server is even available to you, you have to cancel your subscription or you will be charged for 3 months. If you don't cancel the moment you begin a subscription you will be rolled into paying for a 2nd month and then according to their terms the 2nd month forces you to pay for a 3rd! Based on their billing and their terms you have to pay for the service while you aren't using it before it's set up, while you aren't using it after cancellation, and 3 months of service if you are unable to cancel it because you didn't cancel it before it was even set up. I got a confirmation on their website that I was able to cancel my service and 4 days later got an e-mail telling me I have to pay for 2 more months of a service I can't and wont' use. Screw these guys, don't give them your business.

Oh, and they don't cool your servers properly which leads to performance well below your hardware potential.

We're sorry to hear that you weren't completely satisfied with our service. We do require 30 days notice for cancellations, but 3 months doesn't seem accurate unless you failed to cancel before the second billing period came around. If this is in fact the case, please contact us to discuss a resolution.

In terms of setup time, we do have longer deployment timeframes for some servers and this is clearly outlined before an order is placed. Our work begins as soon as you place your order, so inevitably, billing does as well.

We have state-of-the-art cooling in all of our DCs. If there is a need for extreme cooling, then this is something we can and do offer if it is requested or we deem the use case merits better performance. It is possible that this requirement wasn't clearly understood or articulated at the outset of deployment, which is unfortunate.

If there is anything we can do to resolve these issues now, please let us know.

ServerMania has been the absolute best…

ServerMania has been the absolute best hosting provider for the past 10 years I've had services with them. I've gone through several server upgrades and also use their Cloud Based VPS services. I honestly couldn't ask for a better provider. The negative reviews I've seen on here seem to consist of people that do not know how to manage a server or migration, which is the clients problem if they have purchased an unmanaged service. To ServerMania... please keep up the great work and support you've shown me through the years.

I have not seen worse service.

I wanted to buy 2 servers on this service. I successfully paid for them, lost access to the email and asked the support chat to change the email. I ended up not getting a response after 5 days. They just tell me that my ticket is a priority, but there is no answer! Don't recommend unless you want to waste your time.
