Kruti was a fantastic help on the phone. However I should have been informed that I had to connect the modem myself. I would have been lost without Kruti’s assistance.

Really happy with experience. Broadband went down, got through to Pure Telecom support immediately on Saturday who arranged for technicians to come early Tuesday, to remote location, to fix it which they did. Also kept me informed on updates and followed up. Very happy with the experience, thank you to David.

Was having problems with Internet connection after years of solid service. Pure’s tech person Rachel handled the issue wonderfully, isolating the problem as a hardware one and presenting realistic solutions to choose from, and then Nicola, the person handling the contract, was able to present solutions on that front too. Both staff were as friendly as they were efficient and hardware issues were resolved speedily. Great service across the board.

Bad taste left… Switched and the whole set up was removed for a new one, yet in spite of being disconnected from them they still had me listed as a customer. I actually only found out when I offered to return the equipment. Even when I then proved to them I was 'gone' they took two weeks (all internally) to 'close' my account and charged me for the privilege. Leaving me paying two providers for that time. Quite a remote and high-handed response when I asked them to resolve it.
It's silly really, as it's not big bucks, but I won't be back to them. Very, very short sighted behaviour.
A suggestion for these companies - maybe contact people and retain them offering a new rate when the contracts expiring - rather than hoping to switch them to a much higher rate and them not notice.

Just rang to renew my contract with Pure and to upgrade my BB provision.
Taylor checked everything out and it was all completed in matter of minutes, with an extremely good value upgrade!
Lovely change from having to wait on hold for ages to even speak with someone, as has been my experience with some other providers.
You feel valued as a customer.

Got 100mbs broadband in 2022, was ok but speed dropped to about 46mbs after a while then stuck there. At the time they were the cheapest. A year later they offered me a "free upgrade to fibre". A guy came to "pull through the fibre" but said the duct was blocked so it would need "civils." A week later a subcontractor arrived walked into the side of the house, and proceeded to open up the telecoms boxes on the wall and ground. At some point they simply walked off leaving both telcoms boxes open to the elements. A month later Pure sent me a bill for 80 euro for the upgraded modem. I phoned and complained and was told I should have sent the old modem back, however no return box or bag was sent to me. They then said there could be a further 10-12 weeks delay while civils were reengaged. This is 4 months after I was promised a "fibre upgrade."
So they sent me yet another modem. Which was identical to the one I had.
I had to phone again to get another bag to send it back.
So yet another subscontractor arrived to do the "civils". He mooched around for a while, they came back and said he could see that the duct was shared with the house behind me, went through the same motions as previous, and said the duct was blocked on their side so they would need permission to dig in their garden, and I would need to get it.
So I called to that home, and met the son of the former resident, now deceased, who refused to give permission. So I called Pure who said there was nothing they could do. I asked if there was any alternative options and they said no. They offered a very small discount on my plan and I signed up for another 18 months as basically they resell Eir fibre and all other providers might have the same problem. I also complained to Comreg, who were extremely unhelpful and couldn't care less because service issues are between Pure and their own suppliers.
Two years went by. The house behind changed hands and new neighbours came in. A year later I was offered a "free fibre upgrade." I said, "can you not see what happened last time?" No, they kept NO RECORD of the service delivery failure and tried to just push the same upgrade at me.
So now its two years later and I can see by now the newer neighbours have Vodafone wifi, so good odds they got the problem fixed. So when Pure rang a THIRD time and offered me a "free fibre upgrade" I said, yes, I'd love it, but can you not see what happened last time? No, again they had no record. I said, yes please but can you please immediately convey to your contractors that they need to be prepared to unblock the duct on arrival.
A guy arrived a week later and I asked had they forewarned him that there was shared duct issues and a blockage.
No, he had no idea. He went around and spent an hour trying to unblock the duct with his own equipment. He even tried using a secondary duct that belongs to Virgin Media but THAT was also blocked (however its on public land so that might be an alternative). So he said my provider would "be in touch."
They didn't call me, of course.
I phoned them up and they said it was a civils case but again, I would need to get permission from the third party again. I said give me a week. Unfortunately the people who live there now have been away for some time, so there's been nobody to get permission from.
A week later I phoned again and discover that Pure have simply cancelled my upgrade! Without any consultation with me, the customer.
So then they offered to put me through to customer retention again (the same person I think who keeps offering me services Pure cannot deliver), I said look, I haven't decided what I am going to do yet as I'm not happy at all. They are saving a 5 euro disount off my bill again, but I'm starting to look at virgin or using 5g instead.
Anyway, just when I thought this awful company couldn't get worse, today I got a bill for 100 euros, including a bill for "technician visit."
I rang them in a rage. The support guy said I was charged 60 euro for a "missed visit." I said there was no "missed visit", I was here for the technician call and he didn't deliver me a service. The guy said it would be credited back in the next bill. At this stage I flew off the handle and started yelling at the customer support who didn't seem to understand I was not under any circumstances willing to pay a 100 euro bill and be "credited back". I wanted that bill item removed now and no charge to be made to me under any circumstances for a charge I did not incur.
Eventually he insisted it would not be charged to me (I'm dubious) and sent me back to Customer retention again. Who again offered a discount of 5 euro.
Guys, I'm at the end of my tether with this company. Either you deliver a service or not. And they cannot, and bill incorrectly when they cannot. Avoid. Avoid like the plague.
