Excellent easter camp
The Easter camp did not fail to deliver!! Once again a fantastic experience. My daughter loves it. Staff are so friendly and helpful, the activities are brilliant and have so many different things to do. Great facilities.

One of their coaches refereed a recent primary school football match that my son played in. Unfortunately, his conduct fell well below the standard expected of someone acting in a position of responsibility with children and created what I felt was an unsafe playing environment, raising several safeguarding concerns.
Firstly, he applied a completely different set of rules to those used in all of the other games this season and contrary to the FA rules and regulations for this age group, without explaining this to the players beforehand. The children only discovered the rule changes when decisions were given against them.
Secondly, the rules were applied very inconsistently, with decisions appearing heavily one-sided. On several occasions he gave decisions that suggested a lack of understanding of the rules he was enforcing (for example, distinguishing between deliberate and accidental headers).
In addition, he rarely moved more than a few metres from one position on the pitch, meaning that many decisions were made from the opposite side of the field. Given the size of the pitch and the slight slope, it would have been extremely difficult for him to see incidents clearly enough to make accurate calls.
When one of our players respectfully asked for clarification about a decision so that he could understand the rule, the referee ran away screaming “dissent, dissent,” which left the child visibly upset.
As the match progressed, the inconsistent officiating created a situation where one team appeared able to make high or two-footed challenges without consequence, while the other team was penalised even for minor physical contact such as a shoulder challenge.
I have been an FA-licensed coach for nearly five years and this was one of the most one-sided and poorly officiated youth matches I have witnessed. Most concerningly, it created an environment that did not prioritise the safety or learning of the children involved.
Youth sport should provide a safe and supportive environment where children can develop, learn the game, and enjoy themselves. Sadly, that was not the case here. I am simply relieved that none of the children were physically injured, although several clearly left the pitch upset by the experience.

My girls have been to lots of different camps but PLG is their favourite.
The passport idea is great, the girls have tried lots of new activities. It’s a amazing what will do for little prizes.
My daughter has been attending this camp since it opened for the summer and I have to say it is literally the best one we have ever used. She comes out absolutely buzzing talking about the activities, the coaches the prizes everything. First camp ever she asks every day to go to. She has autism and ADHD and the camp lead didn’t even bat an eye lid! Just asked what he needed and welcomed her in with open arms. The range of activities they do is wild! Zorbing, tennis, swimming, pool… you name it, they’ve already thought of it. The “passport” is a fantastic idea and Seems to really make the kids want to get stuck in. The website is so easy to use, the camp passes and the fact you can pay so many different ways really set it above the rest for ease of use and cost effectiveness. The hours it runs and the flexibility is also fab. I feel so comfortable dropping her off and picking her up and feel like I’m really getting my moneys worth. Will be a loyal customer for sure! 5 stars! Well done team PLG!

Both my girls usually dread going to summer camps, but after trying PLG, they’re actually asking to be booked in and are genuinely excited to go!
What sets this club apart is the variety of unique activities, from zorbing to swimming and more. There’s always something fun and different to suit all interests, going far beyond what other local clubs offer, and it’s actually cheaper than many camps with fewer options.
The ‘passport’ idea is a brilliant touch that’s encouraged my girls to try new things. Highly recommend!!
