Good product with a terrible user interface and documentation

Upside.
The shockers are good and deliver the expected results, they gave my partner lots of fun. Good quality product

Downside
Comes with no documentation, just QR codes to a rather useless website with no support. They seem to have spent more time on fancy packaging and creating their own terrible user interface with too many of the wrong controls. After much messing about I have only succeeded in setting up three shocker all of which respond as one. Frankly useless. No way, that I have found, to remove, delete or reset an shocker and to start again.

I would not recommend unless you want to spend days trying to find answers to very basic questions only to be diverted to non-existent support via apps like discord. A nightmare

Hello there! We're in the process of completely changing the setup to make it app based which will greatly improve the account creation user experience.

In the meantime, I suggest you open a ticket on our discord https://discord.gg/pishock for assistance, I am unsure why you think it's non existent, shoot me an email at fedack@pishock.com to explain.

If you want to support yourself, when not on the front page, in the upper right corner you can find our links to documentations: https://docs.pishock.com/pishock/pishock-v3-documentation.html

The issue you're experiencing is because you did not bind all your shockers to different controls on the website. If you open a ticket on the discord, our staff will gladly assist you in initial setup.

We're committed to make sure you can enjoy your PiShock. We are also a small company so sometimes there can be delays in support due to volume. I apologize this was your experience.

Do not buy the pishock

Do not buy the pishock! (Unless you want mcdonalds toy quality)

Poor quality product, they charge a lot of money for something that is tacky and cheap. Doesn't work for myself and some other people, instructions are appalling, customer service non existent and have ignored my request for a return.

The custom strap is too thick to actually attach the shocker to even when you state that it is for the shocker to be attached to. The leather is poor, hub poorly put together and honestly be much better off for those interested in shock collars to just get a half decent e collar designed for dogs.

You can get the same quality as the pishock for £20 or a good and high quality E collar for between £80 and £200 that will be built properly, have precise level control and reliable.

UPDATE!

They said there was more support and options for me to try so I kept in contact and went through their advice..still the device was dead so nothing worked still..they offered a replacement which is the last thing I want, I don't want the hassle again and I don't want to be dealing with pishock in the future. I have kept the charge back open with my bank, they did request I cancel it but that would be very silly since they appear to have no intention of refunding for the defective product.

I did email them to let them know the charge back will remain open since I have had no confirmation of a refund and they're choosing to ignore me.

As for Pishocks reply, very contradicting on the strap..if it fits then should not need to use force and/or lube for it to go through..that's ridiculous. Also you're saying that someone requesting a refund because you sold a defective item is unreasonable..that's a scam by the way. Yes there will be happy customers but that does not dismiss those that you are scamming. If you as a business can't afford to refund for faulty products like every other business then maybe you shouldn't be selling products. All businesses will make mistakes from time to time and majority of them will resolve the issue..not ignore and hope it goes away.

I'm sorry you've been experiencing so much issues. That said, there are thousands of people that have been using and enjoying the PiShock, a quick look at Twitch or our discord will show you this.

The custom strap can be a bit tight fitting, it is high quality and sometimes require force to put in, some also used lube with great success. With the spacer, people doesn't experience that kind of issue. They are also not made of leather but biothane which isn't derived from animals.

The reason for the cost of our product is the hub which brings internet connectivity, our servers which we don't charge a subscription and never will, to allow us to keep iterating and developing. E-collars does not come with an internet functionality. What you pay is not just the hardware but the development and infrastructure.

We don't offer refunds because we can't recoup any of it due to the nature of the product and for hygiene reasons on top of having already incurred costs. Would you like to get a pre-worn one?

We always make sure people have working products at the end of the day. Your requests were sadly unreasonable. To have us lose the product, the money, the time it took for us to support you.

Very disappointing return policy

Bought a PiShock but changed my mind halfway through. Sent two Emails to support asking to cancel my order which were ignored.

They sent the package regardless and when I received it I thought I might as well try it out. Didn't like it as anticipated and went to the discord support this time to return it.

To my surprise they let me know that once opened you can't return the product. At no point was there a warning that you couldn't return it after opening it.

After some back and forth in the discord support I was able to return everything apart from the used shocker.

Haven't had such a bad experience with a company before and will make sure to only buy within the EU in the future.

We are deeply sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us and our support team; It appears from our records only one email managed to make it into our system, unfortunately on the same day that the order was boxed for fulfilment, at which point it could not be cancelled. You should have been informed of this, and we apologize that you did not appear to receive a prompt reply from our staff.

We will endeavor to update our policy to state more clearly about the conditions of the goods which we are able to accept for return, unfortunately as the goods may make physical contact with the body, we are not able to re-sell or accept the return of goods which have been in contact with a person, which is in line with other goods which are used in similar circumstances.

We did allow you to return the hub, and unused module in line with this.

We hope this does not dissuade you from purchasing from ourselves, or other companies outside the EU, however we have a duty of care to all of our customers and cannot in good conscience allow goods which may cause interactions due to products on the skin being transmitted to people whom may be intolerant, or willingly allow the transmission of any biological material which may be residual after use, as this could be a major health risk.

My recent interaction with PiShock's…

My recent interaction with PiShock's support team, especially Saerich and Lethos, really blew me away, even though I had a bit of a tricky return situation. My initial reason for wanting to send the device back was just some unexpected stuff happening at home, but honestly, the clear communication and dedication from the PiShock team turned what could've been a total headache into a surprisingly good customer service experience.

So, I first tried to return a PiShock device I'd just bought and unboxed, making sure I was within that 14-day EU return window. The support team was incredibly open and detailed when they explained their return policy. They broke down why a return wasn't really a go for a used and unboxed device, pointing out things like hygiene, how they can't make a used device "new" again. They even cleared up the EU consumer protection rules, explaining that since they're a Canadian company, different rules apply, even with their distribution center in Northern Ireland helping out with import duties for us EU folks.

But even when a straight-up return wasn't an option. They immediately said it was totally fine to resell the device and even mentioned their "transfer feature" for that exact purpose. Plus, they hinted at bringing back a moderated reselling channel on their Discord, which is pretty cool for the community.

In the end, my home situation actually changed, and I figured out a way to keep the device. So the whole return thing became a non-issue, but it didn't change how much I appreciated PiShock's support. Seriously, in a world where companies often just hit you with a "take it or leave it" kind of response. Their openness and how much they dive into customer worries are a huge plus. If you're thinking about getting a PiShock, you can totally trust that their support team is all about clear, understanding, and thorough communication.
