I agree with those who claimed the Oleplex products cause hair breakage and damage. I've been using the products without issue until I received a gift of Oleplex 4P. It was then my hairdresser noticed breakage. The only change was the use of 4P. I contacted the company. Their rep said their products do not cause breakage (obviously quite a few of us disagree) and they would not let me return the product without a receipt. Since it was a gift, I don't have a receipt and I feel it would be rude to ask for one. The rep was very unsympathetic and refused to help me. I hope I can save others from this experience.
This company has terrible customer service. Do not buy from them or use their products.

I was bought an Olaplex treatment set by a friend - used the shampoo and condition 3x times (and the pre wash treatment once). Results were horrific, corse, frazzled hair which then was very dry and broke off. So much hair loss that it has ruined my already thin hair. Disgusting that this is advertised to help dry and damaged hair- very disappointed and upset that it will take me years to grow back a normal head of hair (breakage is very high on head so very visible).

I bought olaplex because of the hype but I was so devastated when just after one use in the shower my hair starter to just fall out. I was horrified. Its the olaplex number 3. I have used the olaplex oil that I have no issue with but please do not use olaplex number 3. Just don't!!

Bought in the advice of a hairdresser and after several weeks I was shedding more hair that what I thought was normal for me. It was during the winter months too, when I tend not to shed as much as I would if it were summer.

At this point I started to read reviews and discovered that it’s a common problem with Olaplex!

I no longer use and have changed my hairdresser!

So wish I looked at trust pilot before buying olaplex!!!!! I bought no6 and no7 Mt hair is bleached and has been in relatively good condition as I gave it a good break over the winter....I wanted to vamp up my hair care routine and introduce olaplex......2 weeks I've been using it and my hair has gone so thin and straw like....I was going to continue using them in the hope that things would get better with time but after reading these reviews I am 100% not continuing!! Has anyone had any luck with refunds I wonder?

I was excited to try this product as I’d heard great things. I paid £25 for travel sized shampoo and conditioner. I’ve only used them twice, but my scalp has been unbearably itchy and lumpy. I won’t ever use the products again and I’ve contacted the retailer asking for a refund.

Whilst there are many positive reviews of this product I feel compelled to share my experience.
I used this product at home once and it left my hair like straw so rewashed it. Yesterday my hairdresser used it and my scalp has itched ever since to the point I had to re wash and condition with my regular products. It's appalling that a product that is extremely overpriced has attracted so many negative reviews. Perhaps rather than patch testing dyes before application, hairdressers should consider patch testing this. Awful product. Should be removed from shelves asap.

I started using olaplex upon my hairdressers recommendation a few years ago as i had some blonde put in. Stayed blonde and used it for a while and my hair became so damaged and thin, wispy but mainly knotty and breaking. The length of my hair was ever decreasing despite not cutting it. I thought this was due to the bleach used so left it, grew my hair back natural so it was virgin hair again. Stopped using any heat on it too. Went back to the hairdressers about a year ago and had it blonde again. Used olaplex of course as didn't want to damage it again. This time my hair immediately broke again. Once more I left it grow half back natural again so just the ends were blonde. My natural greys are coming through bad so had a few highlights put through 2 weeks ago as thought that way only a small portion of the hair is being coloured and most of it with be untouched natural hair still. My hairdresser used olaplex and gave me a bottle to take home to do too.
For 2 weeks my ears have been burning and itchy. All of my hair feels thin wispy and breaking easily. Not just the highlighted top parts but every single hair. I'm led here at 1am because I googled to see if there's any reason for it and just saw these reviews of everyone saying they're having the same issue. I can't believe it I'm absolutely devastated that this has been known about for so long and I've spent years trying to fix my hair and once again I've just ruined it because I didn't know about this. I really hope this is reparable. My hair was the only thing I liked about my appearance. I always had such thick hair I would have my hair thinned regularly throughout my youth before this ordeal. I've just turned 30 and I've lost like 70% of my hair.. I know it is the olaplex as most of my hair had no bleach put on and olaplex was the only thing to touch every hair. I see a lot of these reviews are on about a lawsuit and a fb group etc I know nothing about this and am not part of it. I have literally just put 2 and 2 together finally. I truly hope I can save my hair.

Bought the full range for Xmas for myself as a treat, I've given it 5 months before reviewing to hopefully give it chance to work. I didn't believe all of these poor reviews as Olaplex seems so highly rated amongst professionals. It did absolutely nothing at all for my hair, infact it's never been so brittle and thin. I've had to have it cut short as my hair is now in worse condition than before I started using Olaplex. Its falling out at a scarily fast rate, im honestly so upset. I havent used colour or heat on my hair for months and even my new hair growth is falling out. Ive always had quite thick hair and now my ponytail is like a childs. Im absolutely heartbroken. I've had better results with cheaper brands! What a waste of hundreds of pounds. Never again! Olaplex need to take these reviews seriously and do something about it.

I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews here. Olaplex products aren't meant to be used everyday. Maybe that's the issue?
0 and 3 brought my hair back to life after Phoenix's hard water destroyed my hair--making it coarse and flatting my natural waves.
I only use those products once per week as directed. I then use Olaplex's shampoo and conditioner--only twice per week. These are the only products I use and has made a night-and-and difference. My hair is soft, bouncy and healthy.

Really disappointed with the results that this product 'claims' to provide!
It left my hair heavy, greasy, hard to brush, straighten & left my scalp extremely itchy! Avoid at all costs!

I started to loose hair after 4 times using it! My hair feels even more dry and damaged. Now i have bald part on my scalp!
I used Olaplex for home and the shampoo.
I bought it from De Bijenkorf which im sure they only sell original

I read so many bad reviews and I was so scared of the trying it. But after using it for 3 months I can actually say that it’s amazing. I’ve got thick, frizzy and coloured hair. It got so rough after getting the hair colour done but since I’ve started using Olaplex no 4 and 8 they have become so thick and shiny. They don’t look damaged or rough anymore.

The only bad thing is that it formula is a bit thick and makes my hair greasy sometimes. Also it’s a bit too expensive.

I also had devastating results after using Olaplex products that resulted in sporadic balding and hair breakage and have since learned that there is a class action lawsuit and an ever growing list of people getting in on that lawsuit. While I do not intend to join that lawsuit, I do think it’s important to get the word out about the effects of this product especially because they have been so highly recommended in the past

I’ve been using the Olaplex for a month and my hair has been falling away in strands that amount to about 1 handful per hair wash! This could be mistaken has deficiencies, as I have had this before but never this bad, however I’m already on medication and my bloods are fine. It only started again after this product. My main issue though is the ridiculous amount of breakage at the ends of my hair. I trim my hair often and don’t use heat, so it’s usually in decent condition but every comb through is pulling away a clump of dead ends. My hair feels like straw and looks so lifeless! I’m shocked that a product that is marketed as being good for hair, is so extremely the opposite. I bought it as a treat and I’m completely devastated. It should not exist!

It hasn’t caused hair loss but it hasn’t done anything to improve my hair. I’m 50 and bought this because I was told it would increase hair growth. My hair is soft but no thicker than when I started. So definitely not worth the money.

This product has caused severe dermatitis and extreme hairloss. I used for about 5 months at first it was amazing hair was glossy shiny and silky then the hair began to fall out. I have a rash at the base of my scalp. I have been reading about this product when combines with vit c it creates the carcinogen benzene. Additionally it has an ingredient banned in EU for reprotoxicity. Avoid the product.

I have been correcting my hair for 1 year using K18 and now using olaplex my hair broke and I am starting all over again my treatment
Unlucky someone recommend this poor product

I never got the products and I have been trying to get an answer from them and no reply to any of the mail addresses or the form they put online.

This is my hair lifesaver.
I got a bit too friendly with the bleach, and needed to cut a lot of my hair off.
I now use this and have healthy platinum hair - I do think people need to ask a stylist the best products to use and how and when to use it.
I feel lots of people buy it online and are overloading their hair
