From experience.. Avoid!

The fees were extremely high, with no consideration given to the time remaining on my policy. At no point was there anyone available to offer guidance or clear advice, which made the situation even more frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not use this service again and would strongly caution others to think carefully before choosing it.

What initially appeared to be the cheapest option quickly became far more expensive. When I needed to change my vehicle, the cost quoted was more than four times my original price for just two months remaining on the policy. I ultimately found a more affordable alternative elsewhere, yet still faced additional charges just to cancel. Even after paying those fees, it still worked out cheaper than accepting the revised quote, which highlights how unreasonable the pricing was.

Overall, the lack of support and the excessive charges were deeply disappointing.

Impossible to contact Nutshell

I took out a car insurance policy for my wife's car last year. I registered the policy and received an email starting 'It's a big thank you from us here at nutshell for registering for My Account. The great news is that you're all set to go with everything at your fingertips.' For the last two days I have tried to log into my account so I could check something, the links do not appear to work. I had one message telling me they appeared to have a problem. Every time I try to login to my account it doesn't appear to work. I can't use the assistant without logging in which I can't do. There is no method available to contact Nutshell without logging in to my account which I can't do. I have to resort to a poor Trustpilot in the hope of resolving the issue.

Easy to set up cover

Easy to set up cover at a very reasonable cost.
The noted Defacto 5 stars added confidence to the decision to go with nutshell. Trust Pilot rating however doesn't match that at 3.6
Somewhat concerned though with the online only services and there's s few poor reviews of that. I hope that I don't have to call on them. Not a fan of the AI run chat boxes!

even after a week of nutshell car…

even after a week of nutshell car insurance saying sorry for the hassle i had and saying they were refunding the remainder of my policy i am still waiting a week later and just shows they cant be trusted so am now getting onto trading standards as they cant just keep getting away with this and says phone lines open at 8 and even when you get a number to call that i got eventually after loads of hassle it only gets through every now and again and not in times they say they are open , would definitely avoid in the future as just constantly lied to and should never be allowed to keep getting away with this

Brilliant Service

I needed to change the registration on my car. The process online was quick and very simple. Plus there was no charge - my husband's insurers charged him £15 for this (self) service. Took a couple of minutes and all updated documentation was in 'My Account' immediately. Brilliant service.

The worse car insurance company I have…

The worse car insurance company I have ever been with. Customer service was non existent. I wanted to change my policy due to purchasing a new car and they refused to insure me and couldn’t give me a reason why.
Very hard to speak to someone as always kicked off the chat so no consistency to conversations so nothing ever gets sorted!

Tried 3times to send NCD documents to…

Tried 3times to send NCD documents to Nutshell via MY ACCOUNT (Nutshell on line) and each time Nutshell on line, informed it had received my documents ok. But then few minutes later received email informing my message had failed.
I then emailed Nutshell with documents to the email address provided by Nutshell but again received similar message informing my email had failed.

SCAMMERS. AVOID!!!!!!

SCAMMERS/AVOID !.Told I cancelled policy by speaking to a agent."LIE !".Spoke to no one.Wanted £122.53 for the amendment.Argued their fault/not paying.Still took £62.53 saying would be refunded once through their system.Live chat recorded & will submit to Trading Standards if not refunded A.S.A.P.!.DISGUSTING Treatment.You have been warned !!!.
