Having checked my documents prior to the policy even taking effect and within the 14 day cool off, I found something that was entered wrong.
To report this took three attempts over two days and over and hour and a half later (third time) to correct!
The outcome cost me more money - even though nutshell had put the listing down as two separate things - not my fault.
I did consider cancelling the policy, but the charge to do that was more than rectifying their anomaly even though it was well within the 14 day cool off!
Not a great start to a new policy that is not yet in force for at least another week or more!
Not a speedy process, very slow response to each question or answer written in the chat box.
Not sure if I would recommend.

Company contacted us for various forms of proof for both 1st and 2nd driver. Licence, proof of address, V5 and even proof of occupation which was odd. Despite providing all this information I just received an email saying that the car insurance has been cancelled. There was no reason stated as to why it was cancelled. And to top it off there's a cancellation fee as well! I paid the car insurance in full for the whole year. 6 months in they ask for all this proof. So when all this proof was presented why on earth would the insurance be cancelled?? The customer service is atrocious. Its so scripted and you dont get the help or information that you need. They repeat the same script over and over again. No way of speaking to a manager either. I was actually really happy with this company for the past 6 months till this just happened. Now I know to stick with the well known insurance companies. I knew there was a reason I hadn't heard of this company before. Absolutely appalling!
I received a response from nutshell to email what took place. What would be the point now of emailing you and get it looked into when you left me without insurance?! I had to find another company and insure with them

Today 3rd April I setup an insurance policy for my car (139156004) with the start date 25 days forward (28th April). As soon as I checked policy showed old incorrect address, chatted with advisor to get address corected however informed additional fee of £130. Requested this policy be immediatly cancelled however informed £25 cancellation fee! COMPANY NOT MEETING TERMS STATED ON THERE WEB PAGE "you will be charged £25 if you cancel your policy within 14 dyas of your policy start date". I am cancelling 25 days before. BEST ADVISE STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY AS THEY DON'T MEET THERE OWN TERMS

I rung to speak with a agent to establish details around my policy relating to windscreen replacement. Not one agent could tell me if I keep my no claims, the cost or if I have replacement cover at all despite looking at my policy. They gave me a number to speak with claims people regain my policy.
However both times the number they gave me went to the windscreen company who obviously no nothing about my policy details.
Trying to speak with a manager or someone English was impossible and it was very hard for them to appear to understand what I was asking or saying.
Poor insurance and poor customer service. Please go elsewhere if thinking about insurance.

I wanted to add my daughter to my policy as she is learning to drive but they wouldn't add her on leaving me no choice but to cancel the policy and go elsewhere - I then get charged £48 to cancel it!

Absolutely disgusting customer service, no complaints procedure to talk to a manager, agents are not knowledgeable or helpful, con men take your money and cancel your insurance. STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!

Payment section kept crashing when i was at the payments section. Eventually had to ask customer service if payment had gone through? Tried to cancel and was going to be charged for a cancellation fee for a policy that hadn't even had the payment accepted.
