I bought a condo a little over three…

I bought a condo a little over three years ago. my heat pump was about 12/13 years old. It was working fine. I immediately had my heat pump/AC company do a complete check on the system and set up a by yearly contract for PM maintenance. I contacted Home Protect USA about a home warranty. They charged me 3000, for a 36-month service. I did this with them because they cover heat pumps. My contract is up on Feb 26. I was returning from Florida and noticed that my AC, was not cooling. I called my AC company and they came right out. A part in the outside unit had finely gone bad, due to age of unit and took out the compressor. I turned in a claim right away. After review, they claimed that they don't cover coils that go bad on units and denied my claim which was about 5K to replace and repair. They did their arm chair quarterbacking and would not provide any claim allowance for my system. I have wasted every penny that I invested in this warranty company. I would never recommend this company ever again and tell people they are nothing but a rip off. All they care about is getting your money and then do not care about what they say that they cover. They said you did not read the fine print of the contract. Home Protect USA, is the worst company you can ever deal with. If you have a major component breakdown, they will come up with excuses and deny your claim. They are the worst of the worst.

MAJOR SCAM

MAJOR SCAM! They keep sending me notices with the wrong name on them, a name I haven't used in 11 years. SCAM threatens a "delay in coverage" of my "home warranty" and threatens that it might expire. Then, the SCAM threatens to "revoke eligibility" unless we respond.

I received a final notice so I called

I received a final notice so I called. The lies rolled out of her mouth at the very outset.
1. The electrical and plumbing in my complex is failing. Not true.
2. I told her I wasn't worried about the wiring or plumbing because the wiring not aluminium and the plumbing was not PVC.
3. I said I wanted to check other providers she said she was the only one accepted by my mortgage company and if I didnt' go with them, she said, "I would be 'Red Lined' meaning no other company would touch me."
4. I said American Home Shield had been recommended, she said, "They have hundreds of law suites and their BBB rating is F, we are A. Well, AHS is B and they are not even listed with the BBB

Bogus & Atrocious LIARS

Bogus liars. For over a year have said they would stop sending their absurd, sleazy marketing but has been a LIE every time. Then they send more that say "this is our third attempt to contact you"... so you call again and say you are already covered, do not trust them because they cannot update a list, and the boiler room worms still try to sell you bogus coverage.

Atrocious liars. The worst of the worst.

A scam in the mail…

As a new home owner after receiving 3 letters from them I called and spoke with Roxanne Verino who told me that my mortgage company required me to have this coverage ,I responded by telling her that if the mortgage co required the coverage it would have been on my "to do "list from the mortgage company ,then I was told that my neighbors have this program and I offered to speak with them and call back but oh no you cannot call back because if you do not buy this program right now your home will be REDFLAGGED and you can never get it again .Well I explained to her the LAW about fraud over the phone and then she hung up .

Home Protection USA is a SCAM

Home Protection USA tells you they will provide insurance for the inside of your home (could barely explain what the policy limit was). Only as $75 deductible every time you needed a tech to come out. Roxanne Verino tells you she will personally tend to all your calls and that you have 30days to cancel/change your mind although she knows you won't because it's an incredibly affordable plan. For this reason let's just process the initial payment of $295 to lock in your rate today, Friday the 10th and all you pay is $219 beginning June 1st every month for 18 months protection is good for 3 years, so you are getting the rest free! I wish cursing was accepted. What a bser. I called back Monday, Tuesday and today to cancel and get a refund and they keep telling me they will call me back and that I only the call from the day prior is there so I should wait for my call tomorrow. I asked for cancelation on the spot again and they said they cannot do it to just wait for the call. I also asked that the cancelation document and any document be emailed to me as promised by Roxanne Friday and guess what they replied-can't do that I don't have access to it wait for your call. So I called my card and disputed the $295-goodbye b**ches. Don't fall for this please.

DIRTBAG SALES TEAM!!!!!!

Whole new level of scumbags here at Home Protect USA. They send out mailers that look to be from a federal agency "respond to this notice requested". Misleading and designed to make older folks open it. When I called to have my Fathers name removed from their mailing list the phone jockeys wont budge!!! Come to find out they only get paid if they sell a warranty, no sell no pay! So they are very aggressive b
vulgar and rude when they find out you have no interest. I am just trying to protect my Family from this fraud warranty racket. BEWARE!!!!

This company is a total scam!

This company is a total scam!! They have no problem taking your payments, but you can never get anything covered. By the time you realize you are paying for nothing, you are out of hundreds or thousands of dollars. Save yourself the aggravation, avoid them completely.

I can tell by reading the positive…

I can tell by reading the positive reviews that they are not legit. This company does not even have BBB rating. Their notice today says my coverage may be expiring, have had this house since 2013, never had their "service," so they are lying.
