Awful Customer Service, Okay Food
The food is pretty good and the recipe variety is decent, but the customer service is abysmal which is why I can't recommend this company. On just my second meal shipment, my order delayed by a whole day and I wasn't informed of that until near the end of my delivery window despite the package still being a whole state away. The form email cited "Winter Weather" in Texas in May, and no restitution was offered. When I chatted with a customer service rep, they gave me a $10 credit, which doesn't even cover shipping, let alone the inconvenience of it all. When I kept asking questions, the rep timed out of the chat which is equivalent to hanging up the phone on me mid-sentence. Then, I sent an email and was entirely ignored. The email didn't bounce. It wasn't a no-reply. It was just ignored. I would have been an easy customer to keep if anyone in customer service just treated my like a human.

Ingredients and packaging
Some of the ingredients are not very fresh and i did not use it. I still cooked the remaining ingredients and it was still good. I have also had issues with the right ingredients and meal cards being in the box on occasion

4 stars not 5 based on no steak meat in ....
I gave 4 stars based on the ideal that the steak type meats are still premium and not in the regular meal options. I am on my second go with this Ideal of having HelloFresh meals that allow to learn a bit about cooking and enjoying quality meals that I did not enter the mircowave. Yet if price keeps going higher after this run I will just cancel again.

Not the best for vegetarians
I am a vegetarian and wish there was a setting, or permanent filter where the app would know not to automatically put meat dishes in my next order, or even suggest them. Every time I have to click the same filters and still have to scroll though tons of stuff I would never order.
Last order was completely wrong, and instead of two vegetarian dishes, I was sent 1 of what I ordered and two random meat dishes. They credited my account but it’s still a big waste of food and not what I wanted. Will probably switch over to a vegetarian only meal service.

The quality and freshness of products…
The quality and freshness of products have been subpar, especially the vegetables and missing ingrediencies. I have been very disappointed and skipped the next month worth of meals. Taking a break and don't know if I will cancel subscription yet or not.

Quality control has gone down
Quality control has gone down. Granted it's small things like missing recipe cards or small ingredients. I live 20 miles from town even the small ingredients are missed. Leaking meat has been a regular occurrence lately.

Convenient, creative and perfect portions!
So convenient! Cuts out the need for grocery shopping and trying to figure out what to make for dinners. I love that portions and ingredients are perfectly enough for 2 people! Creative and nutritious meal ideas and love the new protein and veggies swapping options!

I have lost count of how many times my package was delivered to the wrong address. It happened again two days ago for the last time. I intend on canceling indefinitely if I am not fully refunded for my losses.

I love the convenience of having these meals delivered and in my refrigerator when I’m ready to cook. It’s great not to have any waste after buying ingredients. My only complaint so far is some of the produce is not as fresh as I would like.

Very helpful agent
I had an unpleasant experience with an agent while i was trying to figure out how my account got reactivated. It was very frustrating but then I got into contact with a different agent and they were amazing. They not only gave me a solution to the issue but they were able to finally explain what happened to cause the issue which i greatly appreciated.

Unsatisfactory Deliveries
So far, 3 deliveries have been scheduled. The first delivery arrived with the gel cold pack completely defrosted and everything in the box was spoiled. The second delivery arrived with the gel cold pack completely defrosted but everything was just below room temperature. The third box's delivery has been delayed with no explanation. All three of these deliveries have been shipped from New Jersey on a Monday with a delivery date of Wednesday. I'm don't understand how you guys expect to deliver unspoiled food when it takes 3 days for the shipment to arrive and the gel packs are rated to stay cold for 24 hours.

1st delivery perfect
1st delivery perfect, 2nd delivery almost all food room temp by time it was delivered a day late, 3rd delivery the cooling packet had busted and leaked all over the paperwork, recipe cards and brown paper bags. Very messy to clean up and salvage. Produce and meat are fresh so far but only 1 out of 3 deliveries have arrived undamaged.

I have been a little disappointed with the freshness of products and the last two orders, the quantity of items does not match up with the amount I ordered and I am the one that double checked. I can’t check every bag content when I receive order on Monday for the week, I just don’t have time, but the day I decide to make, I am lacking items based on what I paid for. Very disappointed

I have been a member for over 2 years. Overall, the experience has been good. I like the convenience of having everything delivered to my door at the beginning of the week. I love that I can pause service for weeks I don't want delivery.
On occasion an ingredient will be missing or poor quality. It is pretty easy to go online & get a couple $ credit but would rather get all the ingredients so the recipe tastes right. It is easy to adjust recipes for health reasons such as eliminating cooking with butter altogether.
Why am taking away a star and would take away another half if I could is for billing issues. When there is a mistake, I don't want a credit but want a credit back on my credit card. I don't like having to reach out because of billing issues. When I am sent an email with an offer and I click on the offer through the link, it should reflect on the site. It is a waste of my time having to call because it is not being taken care of. Twice now I have had an offer not reflected in my account prompting me to have to reach out. I get asked to forward a copy of the email offer I was sent taking even more time. This most recent time, I had to reach out twice. The person helping me on 5/18 said she would just give me a credit on my next box. I told NO. I want a credit back on my credit card because I was incorrectly charged. I was told I would receive an email within the hour with a confirmation of the credit. Never came. It has still not been handled prompting me to have to reach out a 3rd time. Not acceptable.
Overall, I would recommend this company.

I thought the food was average
I thought the food was average. To much work reading a small lettering for some.
I only wanted my first order and got a notice another order was being shipped for a god awful amount. I refused my delivery.
I won’t be coming back.
