Solid
Solid, up-to-date content in an easy-to-use format organized by a competent team. Most valuable part of the program was the opportunity to be involved in the actual industry (venture).
GoingVC gave me the skills and network to become a VC
GoingVC's lectures, lessons, hands-on VC training (GoingVC Partners), and robust network gave me the tools and exposure I needed to compete in the VC hiring market. I was hired shortly after completion of the program by a late-stage fund, and later joined an early-stage fund that I launched with colleagues I'd met through the GVC program.
I owe much of my investing career to GoingVC.
The investor program is a great opportunity
I did goingVC as a software engineer back in 2019.
If you're completely new to private markets, learning the business of venture with the space to ask questions to people who are actually doing it is tremendously valuable. It certainly was to me, and I learned a LOT about building a business and how private markets really function. While you could learn on your own or with an MBA, this was a good way to do it for me, as someone with no finance background beforehand.

I learned a lot in a short amount of time that really is helpful guide where I’m going to take my career. Thank you!
Value in hands-on experience
I found most value in GoingVC program when working as a VC scout for their investment arm. It gave me real time exposure to sourcing, due diligence, and investment decision making. This proved to be valuable on my VC journey.

I have tried different VC courses but GoingVC definitely stands out - I had the exposure to not only the educational part of VC but as well real-life scenarios to work on actual deals on the pipeline for GoingVC fund. The quality of instructors were top notch where it gets you connected right away in the industry. The exercises as well keep you very engaged

GoingVC was one of the best decisions I made in my career. Having spent time on both the founder/operator and investor sides of the table, the program gave me clarity I didn’t know I was missing, materially strengthened my technical financial skills, and introduced me to a group of peers who have become genuine friends and impressive investors.
Had I not gone through GoingVC, I likely wouldn't have gone as deep into venture as I have, and I almost certainly wouldn’t have launched my own fund. It’s a serious program for people who are serious about building a career in venture.
Great educational experience
Gave me a breadth and a depth of knowledge about the VC industry and a network that I otherwise wouldn’t have been exposed to.

What I really enjoyed about GoingVC was the structured content and ability to develop your own thesis. It really made me think through my thesis, understand the landscape, find the right companies, come up with a professional pitch deck, and develop a unique strategy. Also, the lifetime access and alumni network are a nice plus.
GoingVC Delivers
GoingVC delivers exactly what it promises: a structured, thoughtful, and practical pathway into the venture capital ecosystem. The curriculum is rigorous but accessible, the community is strong, and the emphasis on real-world application—not hype—sets it apart from many programs in this space. I especially appreciated the strategic framing around how funds actually operate, how investors think, and how to build long-term credibility in VC. Overall, a well-run program that respects both the craft and the responsibility of investing.
VC is hard; GoingVC makes it easier!
Venture Capital is the hardest industry in the U.S. to break into. Those interested in making it have to take advantage of every opportunity and resource to network, work on actuals deals thru the entire diligence process, and build legitimate skills. GoingVC offers the most real-world application opportunities within an intelligent, kind, and thoughtful infrastructure (with a large network of successful individuals willing to support). I strongly recommend.
Investor Program is 🔥
1) The curriculum is fantastic. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the AMAs with guest speakers are always packed with info.
2) The Investor Program was the most valuable for me. There's a phrase in VC of "doing the job before you have the job". This often means aspiring VC partners attend networking events and say they are sourcing for several VCs but do not have a formal affiliation. This can cause some confusion with founders. Being a venture partner in the Investor Program gave me the confidence to go to networking events and meet founders. It also provided experience in writing investment memos and pitching to the IC. It was also helpful to see a variety of deals across different verticals rather than just a single vertical like health tech. Because GoingVC Partners is an angel syndicate, one of the potential downsides is that the syndicate may not always invest in a deal in a given cycle, so it's hard to point to investments you worked on when applying to FT roles unless you stay for multiple cycles.
3) Awesome network. The program has many years under its belt. VC is about relationships, and it's very helpful to be able to tap into that network, particularly if doing diligence in an area where you are less familiar.
4) You get what you put into it. The program is very flexible, which was important as I was also working a FT job. The consequence of that is you need to be able to clearly convey what you did and the experience gained when applying for roles.
A useful program for aspiring VCs
GoingVC is an excellent program for aspiring VCs, current investors, and people who are involved with or want to support startups. It goes beyond other programs I’ve taken by offering much more hands-on, "sticky" ways to really learn and internalize the concepts. The content felt directly applicable to how I think about companies and markets.
The instructors were very thoughtfully chosen and are real operators and investors actively working in these spaces. They shared both the fundamentals and the lessons they’ve picked up from their own careers, which made the sessions feel grounded and practical instead of theoretical. Their perspectives and stories made the material easier to connect with.
The biggest value add for me was the focus on building an investment thesis. I walked away with a much clearer framework for how to think critically about different areas, what makes a vertical actually investable, and how to articulate that in a structured way. This has materially improved how I evaluate opportunities.
The community is also a huge part of the experience. Being surrounded by motivated, thoughtful people who care about startups and venture has been incredibly valuable, both during the program and afterward. It feels like a network I can continue to learn from and collaborate with over time.
Great VC Education and Hands-On Investor Program!
Great place to learn more about VC, VC financial modeling, and to join the Investor Program, which gives you real-life exposure to how investors pitch deals!
Great people
I went through GoingVC's 8th cohort, and it's a valuable experience for anyone who wants to work in VC. You get access to the investor program that helps you source deals, due diligence, and present to a fund committee. You also get a lot of knowledge in a structured learning environment, plus a strong network and community in VC.
Great hands-on learning
I participated in GoingVC a few years ago when I was still very new to the space and really got a lot out of the program. The hands-on learning activities really helped me practice, and I appreciate the fact that I can go back to look at materials even years post-program and can continue to sit in on sessions anytime, which I've done a few times recently as I come across new aspects of the work.
