If I could give them minus stars I would. I thought I was dealing directly with the hotel because of the interface of their website. When I saw the booking fees of nearly €150 I cancelled - within 2 m... See more

This site is a scam and should be charged
This site is a scam and should be closed and criminally charged for deceiving customers and overcharge. I recently booked a 12-day hotel stay through their website that closely resembled the hotel's official site. Unfortunately, I was overcharged by nearly $500. I suspect this site operates outside the U.S.
SCAM
SCAM. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE BANNED. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CARD INFO TOO. NEVER EVER FALL TO THIS TRAP AND WHEN BOOKING MAKE SURE U HAVE ENOUGH TIME CHECKING LEGIT WEBSITE BECAUSE THEY CLONE HOTELS REAL WEBSITE. SCAMMMER
The worst site
The worst site, don’t ever buy anything from them. They put tax and fees on, that you can’t see, before you paid 🤬🤬
And you can’t cancel your reservation 🤬
This site should be banned.
This kind of service should be banned.
By seeing other comments here I am considering to pursue legal actions against them.
This is definitely a scam. Charging attitional 33% of margin on top of what would you pay by using i.e. booking.com

Thought I was reserving a room with crowne plaza Glasgow but this turned out to be getaroom appearing to be crowne plaza. When i was thinking I was reserving the hotel the money came right off of my bank account including a £200 charge that was not clear until after I had paid. The company is also a 4th party company under a different company and contacting them back is difficult. Also apparently non refundable although it is 7 months in advance
Avoid these scammers!
Horrific experience- do not use them
Horrific experience- do not use them. Zero stars. This is a 4th party booking website. They will keep asking you for a confirmation beginning with R, that does not exist. After giving you the runaround for 45 minutes, with constant apologies, they will not refund your money, even if you are within the cancellation booking. Also, the cancellation button does not work on your reservation Confirmation. Hannah was useless.

SCAM SCAM you think you are dealing with the hotel
You are not. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM
Keep away from this company.
Your confirmation letter doesn't have their phone number or name on it.
You have to call the hotel and get them to find where you bought the room from.
Then they gave me the name name of PRICELINE.
I called price line and they said it was thru get a room.
Then I called Get A Room.
You will not even know who they are until something goes wrong.
SCAM
if I could rate no stars I would... absolute scam, I thought I was dealing with the hotel, spent 3 hours figuring out that its a company in Texas called Priceline partner solutions... they buy rooms from booking.com and resell them at ridiculous rates, they con you into a cheaper rate and then charge your card with a much higher rate. STAY AWAY.
Scam
Scam, all the same as to others, thought that booked with the hotels website, got one price after given credit card details price changed 4times, cancelled my payment, but they charged it anyway. No support and help. Run away from it!!!!
Thought I was booking a room on The…
Thought I was booking a room on The Ruskin Hotel Blackpool website. Didn’t realise until the end this is an American website and I am now paying 812 pounds for 2 nights in Blackpool. Thought it was a scam so contacted my credit card company who could only advise me to start by contacting hotel. I am relieved to say the hotel has my booking but it’s the extortionate amount of money I am now paying. I have emailed getaroom.com and no response re there best price guaranteed. So disappointed and has an experienced traveller can’t believe I fell for this. Will be making sure as many people as possible are made aware of this site. UPDATE Dear Valued Customer,
We appreciate you reaching out to Customer Care. We do apologize for the inconvenience this ha caused.
Please be advised that the reservation was made through an online travel agency and it was confirmed and fully paid for, including any taxes and fees we were required to pay at the property. Regarding with the currency, please be advised that we are a US-based company, and therefore charges are in US dollars. However, we understand that the issuing bank of your credit or debit card may charge a foreign transaction fee to convert the amount paid in the local currency of the merchant along with any applicable fees and taxes.

Thank you for allowing us to service your inquiry and we sincerely appreciate your business.
We try to help you and be accommodating whenever we can, but in this case we are unable to fulfill your request.
I appreciate your consideration in this subject.

What a scam they give you a great rate…
What a scam they give you a great rate but then add on $50 worth of fees. It is terrible. Run away from this site.
Simply a scam
Simply a scam. Will not answer emails. When are we going to hold these scammers to account.
Hotel Booking not real
I booked a room in Check24 in a Hotel Mediodia, Madrid whose profile seems to be run by getaroom. They charged my account already during booking process. Upon reaching the hotel, I find that they dont have a reservation in my name at all and the reservation that I got in my email is not their.
Upon calling 'Check24' representative, they said they will fix the problem by contacting getaroom. and that I should pay again for the room for that night and they will clear the matter the next day and refund my extra payment to the hotel. now I have already paid for 2 nights and still the matter is not cleared. I havent received any confirmation that the extra charge will be refunded. 2 days of my Holidays is already ruined with this stress.
It seems they are running a Scam!!!!
They are a scam and will rip you off
They are a scam and will rip you off! They will not return your money!
SCAM SCAM SCAM
Biggest scam I have ever fallen for. When you put in your credit info and select reservation it immediately charges your card with HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF HIDDEN FEES THAT THEY DO NOT SHOW YOU UNTIL AFTER PAYMENT HAS BEEN PROCESSED.
It is deceptive and highly illegal! I will be reporting this website to the authorities.

Edit: I have officially reported this website to the FTC and you all should too.
Fraudulent practice BE AWARE!!!
I booked a room for €113 and the payment taken is €210.66 as they suddenly have added taxes and fees in the last payment step without communicating these fees and taxes. According to Dutch law this is not allowed and I will take legal action against this. I will also contact Amex to reverse the payment as this is a real fraudulent way of doing business whereby you in the end pay much more for a room than via booking.com or the hotel website. As they force you to book within 10 minutes (countdown visible in your screen) you are in a little rush to fill out all details and quickly have to confirm the payment. Never again and please be aware of Getaroom.com (and especially if you search on the name of a specific hotel they let you land at a website with the hotel name and guest reservations letting you think that you are on the official hotel website, like holidayinneindhoven.guestreservations.com). After immediately contacting them via the contact form at the website to reverse the booking I didn’t receive any reaction (60 hours passed by already…)
I like to think of myself as a travel…
I like to think of myself as a travel person. But holy hell… this got me. I literally thought I was on the hotel website. I fell stupid. Out almost $600 for a week stay in Mexico. Hard lesson learned.
If could give zero I would !! Disgusting company totally robbed!!!
If I could give zero I would absolutely disgusting company totally robbed !! Poor customer service , made a mistake with booking tried calling instantly!! For help , 30 minutes later someone answered to be told nothing could be done I lost €1400 in 2 mins
Will never use again !! Avoid like the plague !!!!!
Awful experience
Just furious about the way the charge the fees while reservation. Not visible at all you think that you pay the price they indicate. I thought I was on the website of the hotel. They really make you think that and when you receive your confirmation, they charge you 50$ for a reservation of 117 euros. It is fast half the price !!!! Never seen that before. After contacting the customer support, I have just received apologies and immediately a confirmation of full payment yo the hotel do that I cannot get any refund for cancellation. No resolution even suggested by the customer service. They do what they want and do not care about your complaint. Will definitely speak to hotel representatives about this unfair transactions.
WAITING FOR THE REFUND...
Same process as many of the people here. Mistakenly did a reservation, contacted them right away, approved the cancellation by email (about four times already) to get the refund (authorized by the hotel directly). Ticket is being treated by Customer Service - Mr. Kazim Q. and was created by Mayette E.. Refund was given a 5-7 day delay to be done, I am currently waiting to see if this will go through, in which case might consider change my 1-star rating, as I see some customers did manage to get their money back.
