Located in downtown Kutztown since 2012, Firefly Bookstore is an independently-owned and operated new and used bookstore. Re-located in a bigger store in 2017, we now have almost 3000 square feet of space for over 50,000 items. We carry a great selection of titles including large sections of children's books, general fiction, sci-fi, mystery and thrillers, religion & metaphysics, cooking, history and biography. We have a selection of antiquarian titles and fine bindings. We also carry board games and puzzles (both new and used), toys, buttons, magnets, small gifts, note cards and each year, a large selection of calendars. We offer free gift wrapping, customer requests and special orders. We buy and trade books whenever the store is open. We have regular events all year long, including author signings and book releases, events for younger children and family game nights.

Excellent service, prompt shipment!
As a first time customer, I was pleasantly surprised with the prompt order acknowledgement and updates on packing and shipment. I was also very pleased when the book arrived much sooner than expected. Upon opening the package, I found the book was packed with such care that it was obvious whoever packed it spent extra time and energy to ensure it was well-protected and would survive its journey intact and undamaged. The best part was the book's condition was exactly as advertised. All-in-all, an excellent experience and I highly recommend Firefly books. Firefly is every book lover’s dream come true. They carry both new and used books. The books they highlight are thoughtful and intelligent reads. I drive an hour to shop here so I can support an excellent independent bookstore. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I don’t know what else to say but it’s definitely worth the drive.
