Fetch doesn’t calculate claims properly

I am a Canadian, holding a Canadian policy but my cat has to see a specialist in the US. We have been going to BluePearl for 2-3 years now and are paying our invoices in US dollars. However, every single time I submit a claim with Fetch, even though I include a note reminding them that the claim amount needs to be properly calculated and converted from US dollars to Canadian dollars they always assume that the invoice amount is in CAD dollars and cover me for 80% of that, resulting in me calling them every time over and over again, having to explain that, only to result in another claim reassessment every time and more waiting ( at least another 30 days) to reimburse me for the currency exchange rate amount. It’s been years of having this issue with Fetch and they still haven’t found a way to correct it, even though I have brought it to their attention countless times! Very frustrating, having to call them every single time they make a mistake and being constantly under reimbursed or not paid out correctly! I gave them so many chances to fix the problem before I wrote this review but they still haven’t fixed it to date!

Explaining policy/Claims review

Thank you Samantha for going over my benefits and telling me how to file my claims. I understand more clearly now, of all the benefits. Thank you also for letting me know that sometimes the vets are (might be) willing to help with my claims.

Don't buy this insurance.

This company has found a way to wiggle out of all but one of my claims for two different dogs over many years. I recently had to put down my dog and they even found a way to not pay for his euthanasia. I did not orignally have this company, Fetch bought out my old company. I always was reimbursed with my old company, but not with Fetch. They look for every reason to deny a claim.

Fetch is the best pet insurance I have…

Fetch is the best pet insurance I have ever had. The claim submittal process is so easy and quick. Payment is easy and typically happens prior to the 2 weeks they ask for. I would recommend this pet insurance to everyone with a pet!

Almost cancelled my policy

I had actually called to cancel my policy. My dog has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and I was frustrated that my vet would have to do the procedure, I pay, then file a claim. My fear was that the fetch like many other companies would fail to honor my claim for some lame reason. Gerrone talked me out of cancelling. He told me I could submit to my vet a pre-approval form where they would describe problem and the actual procedures and care to be given. I would then submit to fetch for pre-approval of procedures taken. Ensuring ultimate reimbursement of claim. He also corrected some misconceptions I had concerning the deductible. He was very calming and patient. Gerrone is one of the best by phone representatives I have ever encountered from any company. It was not only a pleasure talking to him, but I felt my issues had been entirely and completely addressed.

It was a pleasure speaking with Josh…

It was a pleasure speaking with Josh today. He explained the policy thoroughly, offered a multi pet discount which was a great incentive. He was knowledgeable and very efficient. I asked him to call me back at a certain time and he did which was very impressive. Josh was also understanding and offered good advice.

Kaitlyn was an absolute angel

Kaitlyn was an absolute angel. our call was disconnected more than 3 times and she was so patient and so kind even tried calling back and sat with me through the entire claims process. highly recommend going through her for any insurance help :) thanks again Kaitlyn

The process was simple

The process was simple, straightforward, and easy online. The step by step directions told me exactly what I needed to make sure my claim was filed/processed correctly. I was nervous at first, but realized how simple FetchPet made it. I was happy that my dog Woody’s injuries were covered and we are able to focus on his healing rather than how to pay the bills. Thank you so much!!!
