Good price and clarity on fuel policy. Only let down was office hours stated did not clarify if our midnight 00:00 collection would be possible and how if the office in the terminal is closed?

Doyouspain and their company's try to intimidate their customers and in this case Delpaso, demand to pay extra for insurance(>500 Euro) because of our platium creditcard from ING was not good enough for the normally reservations. This is ridiculous. No support from Doyouspain. So my advice don't hire with them. i never had issues with Sunny cars.
No They try to be friendly, but in my Compliance the refuse to discuss about any refund.
So please be carefull with them

I booked a rental car in Alicante, Spain from 26 May 2026 to 28 May 2026 through DoYouSpain. The booking was confirmed, the advance payment was taken, and I was informed that the insurance was also ready. The car itself belonged to MOVERS company.
After the confirmation, MOVERS contacted me on WhatsApp and demanded screenshots of both my arrival and return flight tickets. I explained that I only had my arrival ticket confirmed at that time and that I would book my return flight a few days later. However, their representative told me that if I did not immediately provide the return flight screenshot, my booking would be considered cancelled.
What was even more disappointing was that the MOVERS representative also said that if I could not provide the return ticket screenshot, then I should book with another company because they could cancel my reservation.
This situation was stressful and unprofessional because the booking had already been confirmed and paid for. Important conditions like this should be clearly explained before taking payment and confirming the reservation. Customers should not feel pressured or threatened with cancellation after everything has already been approved.
I hope DoYouSpain improves communication with partner companies and makes these requirements clear in advance to avoid problems for future customers.

Do not use this company - I have been hiring vehicles from DoYouSpain for over 20 years and will never hire a car through them again! I booked a car through them to collect from Goldcar and when I went to collect the car (after queuing for over 1 1/2 hours) at approx 10pm and then I was informed that I could only pay for the vehicle with an embossed credit card. Who has an embossed credit card these days! We had always been able to pay with credit/debit card previously even in 2025. We were told they were unable to hire the car as this was the new rules. I offered an alternative card or cash and they would not take the payment, so at 10.30pm on a Saturday night was turned away with no vehicle.
Luckily we managed to hire a car through another rental company, before they all closed at midnight. We then rang DoYouSpain on the Monday and found their customer service extremely unhelpful & basically they just didn't care and said that this is how it is and has been for sometime, even though we used them in 2025, they stated they would not reimburse the payment I made.
So beware people - don't use them!

Hired a car for Malaga, we took out the platinum insurance but on arrival to Nizacars was told the insurance was irrelevant and could only hire the car if we either paid €250 for fuel (which they said was non- refundable for any unused amount) or €240 for insurance. The fuel policy states money is refundable for unused petrol minus a fee but was told this was not true. We did not end up taking the car. I have spoken to customer service who keep saying we agreed to the terms but the terms we agreed were not the ones told to us.AWFUL COMPANY! Would never use again

Do not use this company !
They stipulate that you have to have an embossed credit card when you pick up your car hire with Goldcar in Spain.
This is not possible - I have 4/5 credit cards and NONE are embossed!
My only card I have that is embossed is my debit card but I have had to contact my bank to send me a new card with my FULL name rather than my initials. I will wait and see if I get any extra charges because I will be using my debit card 🤦🏼♀️
Please be aware of the above and avoid this company, I get the full name (in theory) but embossed!? What a joke.
I have hired Cars in Spain for a number of years and this is the first time I have had this issue, also I cannot cancel the booking because it is non refundable (my choice) because I obvs got it cheaper BUT I was unaware about this embossed issue until now 3 weeks before travelling, it was something I had missed in the small print of the t&c’s.
Stay clear imo.

Goldcar confirmed it is do you Spain that are enforcing the embossed card which I have confirmation in an email.

I got so fed up - OK traumatized - with the car rental industry that I decided to buy a car. The Friday morning I bought my car I submitted a cancellation to DoYouSpain as is required. The message said they needed to review and get back to me. Yesterday - Monday - I got confirmation of my rental, not my cancellation. Luckily I was a few hours short of the 24 hour window allowed to cancel so I was able to by contacting customer service. No explanation of why they didn’t cancel at my first request but I guarantee that if I had missed the cancellation window they would have charged me the full fee. They are all the same. The care about one thing and that’s money - not the customer’s experience.
And the reply below is a classic case of a rental booking company taking NO RESPONSIBILITY for a system error. Notice cancellation should not have taken three days. Notice of cancellation should not have taken me following up on an ensuring that my booking was canceled a second time. And I guarantee that if I hadn’t followed up, and my booking wasn’t canceled upon my second request, I would’ve been charged - in full - for my original booking. Unnecessary effort on the customers part, zero responsibility, acknowledgement or apology on the companies part. Classic!

They will not refund as they say up until rental time.
Suppliers highly inflated insurance costs rental was then 4x original price.
I cancelled before rental time and they refused to refund.
