They just can't measure feet right

They just can't measure feet right, the staff in Whiteley store are rude and I have happily purchased my children's shoes elsewhere since my last 2 visit. I will never go again.
Visit 1 - To get some new school shoes for my 5 years old, (her last Clarks pair fell apart since September on the velcro strap).
I asked them to measure her feet. She measured at 10.5, they brought out some shoes that they had in the right size, and in all cases she felt they were too big, the staff just would not budge and insisted they do fit right, in the end we bought some with the addition of insoles and heel grips, I returned them, they were definitely too big.
Honestly the behaviour of the staff towards my child at this appointment was awful, deriding her for saying the shoes did not fit etc etc

Visit 2 - Yesterday to get some shoes for my eldest (10 years old), she is a bit fussy about her shoes, wanted some Boots. The staff measured her brought out a style in 3.5 which she had measured her at.
I mentioned that 3.5 seems far too big as she is wearing new trainers in 2.5 and they fit perfectly.. She said all shops measure differently (This is mad, I am a size 6 in every shop, not a 6 in every shop and a 7 in Clarks, a shoe size SHOULD be a shoe size). Anyhow she brought out the 3.5 shoes, said they fitted well, they looked awful and my daughter felt they are too big. I asked if they had any boots. not in her measured size, do you have any in a bit smaller, we have a 2.5 but she would not recommend and in fact refused to see how they fit.
We tried them on, they fit a bit better but were not nice. We went elsewhere..

It is SUCH A SHAME that Clarks is now so bad. I have fond memories of getting school shoes at Clarks, now they cannot seem to measure and the staff are rude and arrogant.
In this case you lost around £100 of school shoe orders, but also a lifetime of us visiting your stores again. I really hope this business is shown up for what it has become.

Be careful shopping in Paris clark store. Clark shoes has corporate policy can return shoes within 60 days for refund or exchange. My wife wanted to return shoes today for a refund that she bought 2 days ago that never wore. They said no refunds. I showed them Clark Shoes policy on line and they said they make their own policies.

Helpful

I am very pleased with the helpfulness from Sarah in the Carmarthen store and helpfulness from a young man in Swansea store. I have been after a certain style of shoe (Nature Three Mahogany Leather, size 8, wide fit) for a number of months. I tried in your Chippenham and Marlborough stores....but no luck.
I thought I'd try at your Swansea store however they did not have the item in store either but were kind enough to check ahead and confirm that Carmarthen store did in fact stock the item. Sarah gave excellent customer service and I would recommend this branch.

A pleasure to shop here!

We visited Clarks shop at Dalton Park on Tuesday February 6th. We were served by a polite helpful set of store assistants who knew their stuff and were patient with a sense of humour. This made the job of getting comfortable and reasonably priced shoes a pleasure. Thank you ladies.

Service good but shoes unsuitable

No problem with the service, even with hard sell which everyone is doing at the moment. I couldn't find a pair of leather, low lace-up or Velcro strap shoes that fitted me comfortably. I saw chunky, platform type shoes with very hard structures. One pair I tried
had a zip and a very lumpy insert. Another, a large gap at the back. I
did purchase a pair but changed my mind and returned as right shoe was digging in somewhere and was unsure of it wearing in. The Unstructured range is not the same anymore sadly. I hope next time there will be more choice and that light, soft, sensible leather lace-up or Velcro straps make a welcome return. I purchased elsewhere but not perfect as warning not to wear them in sun or rain which is barmy.

Beware Valcro shoe fastenings Purchased two pairs. of Clarks shoes at…

Purchased two pairs of Clarks shoes at £100 pounds each on 23/3/23. The valcro fitting to both shoes was different. One was strong and the other so weak that it has refused to adhere properly thereby causing me to have to adjust it whilst walking. On returning the shoes to the shop where purchased I found that the current valcro attached to a similar shoe was different and very secure. Clarks therefore must have been aware of this defect and should have issued a recall. The firm itself is not helpful and I am told will not accept any complaints after 6 months. It is therefore down to the shop where purchased to rectify any faults. Be very careful when buying clarks shoes with valcro fastenings thereon. There may well be some of these dodgey fittings still about.

Change in sizing and quality of Un Loop shoes

I've been wearing Clark's Un Loop for 14 years and the shoes have been an absolute lifesaver for someone with chronic plantar fasciitis. However I recently ordered another pair and found the sizing completely different from previously. There are many other similar reviews on the product page on Clark's website. People are complaining about odd sized shoes (the pair I got had one bigger than the other and they both fell off my heels), poorer quality leather and generally not being able to get shoes to fit. I was told years ago that this shoe is Clark's all time best selling shoe. Why change it.
But my review here relates to the fact that I tried to put on a review on the product page and it was rejected - if Clark's are only publishing a selection of reviews then how can anyone believe them. I've given a generous 2 stars for the long happy time I've had wearing shoes - but my current rating should really be 1 star.

GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND - UNBEATABLE SERVICE AT THIS MONK'S CROSS SHOP IN YORK

I can't always find everyday footwear that combines style and substance with excellent value and the prospect of long life.
But the first pair I bought this year - size 9.5 boots reduced by half to £80 in the New Year sale - are unlikely to be bettered throughout 2024.
The assistant who served me at the Monk's Cross shop in York - I embarrassed myself by mistaking her for someone else (I'm sure she'll recall the encounter; I just want to forget it!) - is a fine ambassador for the Clarks brand.
She gave great advice, including the effective difference between half-sizes in men's boots, and didn't try to sell me any unnecessary extras.
And all this on a miserable Friday morning when there seemed little to smile about.
So, apologies for not making a note of your name to add to this review.
You deserve a special mention for your retail skills...and for putting up with me!
Thanks so very, very much.

Clark's school shoes quality is…

Clark's school shoes quality is terrible now and it's getting worse. Even my daughter cannot use it for 7 months period. I informed to Clark about their bad quality, but the support staff is terrible and they are not helpful at all. Even they said what in third head, not focus on customer.
Very bad product and don’t waste your money on this bad product

The best customer service in Clarks shoe shop in Dublin.

A late review.
My husband and I went to Clarks in Blanchardstown Dublin 15, to get him a pair of shoes for work. We were greeted with a smile from a very friendly Irish lady. She had so much patience with us because my husband always buys his shoes a size too big. Jackie, i think that's her name,😊 was able to help him pick his right size, the most comfortable and at an affordable price. We have been to many Clarks in Ireland but i will go back to Blanchardstown branch every time we need shoes. Whether it's for work or leisure. Thanks Lisa. You made our day🥰

Clarks have been great with me buying…

Clarks have been great with me buying slippers for an elderly and infirm gentleman who cant get to the shops. I ordered first 7 ( too small ) then a 9 (too big) then had to get a refund and buy a pair of size 8! Third time lucky I hope! The customer service team did everything to help me today. Perseverance paid off. Nothing was too much trouble. It took a long while to get through on the phone but it was worth the wait. Products last ages and they are the best fit and quality!

Ordered a pair of walking shoes in the…

Ordered a pair of walking shoes in the sale on the 26/10/23 arranged to pick up at local pick up shop. For some reason shop did not accept them and were returned on the carrier. Contacted Evri to see if shoes could be redirected to my home address, Evri said they had to be returned to supplier (Clarks).Contacted Clarks to raise the issue, operator said she could neither redirect shoes to my home address or issue a refund until the shoes are returned. The shoes seem to be stuck in the couriers (Evri) warehouse and have been there for three weeks. I contacted clarks again and stated they would issue a refund to the credit card that I had used. 2 weeks have now passed and no refund, contacted customer services again and the said I had to raise the issue with the online form. The form was filled in with full explanation of the issue order number tracking number etc. I got an automated email stated the the form had been received and heard nothing since. Sent 2 more emails to customer services, still no reply. In the mean time still no shoes or refund, and a credit car bill to pay. Will not order anything from clarks online again.

It seems that there are two Trustpilots…

It seems that there are two Trustpilots for Clarkes shoes. One for Clarkes shoes and the other for Clarkes UK and ROI. Please read my review from the point of an Irish customer being mislead and not being pre warned of having to pay excessive customs charges on two pairs of shoes, all after ordering from a supposedly Irish site.
I gave a review on the other Trustpilot for Clarkes shoes and was given an English number to ring. I have tried again to send them a copy of the receipt of payment for Customs charges but as usual they have a problem with their Web site. Irish consumers deserve some protection from these type of traders
