Palram Canopia 6x5 Skylight Shed
We purchased a greenhouse several years ago so decided to buy a Canopia Skylight shed. The finished product looks good. Bearing in mind that a 6x5 wooden shed would have cost 4 times the price it is good value. Don’t expect the rigidity of a wooden shed. The polycarbonate side appear flimsy to the touch but experience with their greenhouse shows how strong they are.
The main issue is assembly. If you have 2 highly experienced DIYers doing the job I’m sure it will be fine, if not get professionals in. In order for everything to fit together properly it all needs to line up perfectly. A builder friend assembled ours with me as the holder/ passer of parts. It took us 8 hrs - two afternoons!
It might have been quicker if all the components had been clearly numbered and the screws separated out.
We used the video along with the paper instructions. Interesting that the video showed the need for silicone whereas that wasn’t mentioned in the paper version.
If you just want a space to store inexpensive items it’s fine but I’m not sure how secure it would be for electric tools or a lawnmower as it would be easy to get into.
Basically you get what you pay for!
