5-6 months ago I reported what I have faced with C-Date (I tried to cancel my membership several times but unfortunately I couldn't and they threatened me for the payment of penalty)

I have just have read below email which was sent by C-Date;

"We wish to hereby inform you that no payment has yet been received with regard to the above-mentioned claim matter.

Consequently, the outstanding claim will be entrusted to our contracted legal partners for the purpose of initiating appropriate legal measures.

We must emphasize that obtaining an enforcement order will allow for enforcement measures to be initiated against you over a duration spanning multiple years.

Such measures include, but are not limited to, enforcement of a bank account levy, wage garnishment and forceful disclosure of assets via affidavit. Any subsequent expenses arising on the basis of such measures being initiated are, in full legal accordance, to be borne by you. The currently outstanding claim sum total would thereby continue to increase.

In order to avoid the initiation of such measures, you may transfer the claim amounting to GBP 255.88 (EUR 298.76) by no later than 18.04.2024 to the following bank account:"

They continue to threatening me! In the beginning penalty was a few pounds but now it's GBP 255.88!!!

This is just about the worst dating site in the world. TOTAL SCAM, do not join this BS.

They make it incredibly difficult to leave and will keep charging for weeks of delivering absolutely nothing

Never ever sign up with these scammers! Again they took money out despite being forced to cancel my membership!
Again I had to get my bank involved!!!! They say 'it can't be that bad since I re-registered'
What a joke and not true. I kept being charged due to their error, despite cancelling. The bank had to be involved to secure my account and agreed the money was taken fraudulently!

This is an absolute nightmare! I’ve just been sent an email from a law firm in Germany (Themys & Dyke). I’ve been suffering with major depression for many years and this whole experience has just made me spiral to an all time low and very dark places! Maybe I’d be better ended it all and put myself out of pain and misery.

I cancelled my subscription in Feb 24 and got an email demanding £49.90 payment. Otherwise it will be collected by debt agency. I have proof email requesting my cancellation but no one did anything. Please action my request. Very bad customer service

A company that operates out of Luxembourg and is registered in Luxembourg but doesn't let anyone living in Luxembourg join there site? Bizarre! They operate in the UK but break UK consumer law. Not UK tax registered. They do not provide the service advertised. Conclusion, scam!

I have contacted c-dating they say someone will get back to u & all I get is u owe £49. No one actually has a proper conversation with you so how can u put your point across & why are u trying to charge me £49 when I only wanted to try it for one month to see if it’s a good dating site & it’s awful so u have no right to automatically renewing my prescription. C-dating is a scam fake company the site should be taken down

They charge me £31.47 and I have not heard or signed up for anything on this scummy website they just take money from your account into their scummy little pockets

The same as the other say.. not very good website and then you have virtually no way of cancelling.
I had contacted customer services and they just sent me to find another form to fill out rather than just cancelling on the spot.. it is systemic to make it the more difficult to cancel a subscription on this website.

Absolute scam😂 they are trying to get 50 pound out of me for some reason I paid to sign up, made it impossible to cancel subscriptions, any other subscription would cancel and inform you that their was no payment, I have emails to prove it, just please avoid as they will do anything to try and scare you into paying the money also my bank contacted them when they tried to takey.momey, they gave them 5 working days to respond and they heard nothing. It's a scam!!

Pretty much the same experience as everyone else.

Have sent email requests but have had no reply.

I will now try the email that has been given in C-Dates replies to reviews and see what happens next.

How is it possible that you haven't been banned yet? After all, what you are doing is fraud. This will not be so difficult to prove. So much incriminating additional evidence that I found on the internet will help me quite a bit, thank you 😊

Totally scam!!!! Fake dating site with fake profiles. Impossible to cancel once you signed up and threatening emails and letters sent to your house address if you provided one while registered with them. Avoid at all costs. Stick to tinder instead!

C Date - CON Artists!!

This is written from another reviewer and mirrors my exact experience.

Automatically you subscribe, than lot of message from fake accounts created by c-date to believe this is a real dating site....so they took your money providing a scam....But this is not enough for c-date ...after you realise the situation you try to cancel....you think you did it , but not ....after couple of months you get a letter from Germany to pay 250 Euro immediately otherwise they take you to court.... Email threatening their next level of taking your money.....

I’ve asked so many times to cancel my subscription/membership and received no help. They are literally a money making platform trying to rip everyone off.

Hi I have had dealings with this company I have also cancelled my membership with 30 days notice through the email process, which is rubbish I still haven’t had any communication that my membership have been cancelled, fake profile fake people.. doo not touch c-date stay away

Hard to cancel is a understatement

I have cancelled at 8:05 am on the 14/3/24 giving 28 days notice of cancellation and I would like the reply agent on here to confirm cancellation has happened and no further charges will take place

They don’t tell you when you pay £9.90 that further months will cost £39.99 or that you have to give 14 days notice in advance to cancel to ensure no further payments are made

As anyone can see cancelling this subscription is a nightmare the way you have to write to them with specific format to cancel signature in a attached letter to the email some in caps some in lower case

The link in the terms and conditions doesn’t work to cancel

There is no ability to cancel in your settings tried to screen shot your only way to cancel is via a email

Absolute scam I’ve sent many emails trying to end my subscription and they’ve done nothing apart from to ask me to send a letter to cancel, WHICH I HAVE, and still no update!! My user name is MrJBxx if you see this c date. Please end the subscription. Because all I will do otherwise is tomorrow inform my bank that this is a scam and get the payment blocked.

This website doesn’t even deserve a rating. This website is all about what I ordered versus what I got. It’s a 100% pure scam. They keep promising to match me with someone who met my criteria but yet to see any after taking a whole sum of 99.9 euro from me. Please this site should be shutdown. I want to cancel my premium subscription now to avoid extensions to the next month. And I would love to delete my account because this wasn’t what I expected. So many fake female profiles, female matches were created from places I had visited on the internet earlier that day. One even used my dogs name

Impossible to cancel you subscription steer clear, I wrote to them in February asking to cancel my subscription.

I received a threatening email today advising of legal proceedings unless I paid a month subscription plus a £10 handling charge.

The website should be banned look at all the reviews about them total scam.

Avoid at all cost.

I am sure they will write a nice letter saying they will investigate the matter rubbish.
