I just completed an intensive driving course with Tom and passed my driving test first time.

From the moment I signed on for the intensive course, Big Tom Driving School was very devoted to my learning and making sure I had all the resources necessary to make the most of my experience.

Communication from Big Tom was amazing- leading up to and throughout my course. Any queries I had were responded to swiftly and concisely.

With regards to the in car learning time, Tom was very engaged in my learning throughout the course. He really cared that I got the most out of my time with him. It didn’t feel like I was driving to pass a test, but that Tom genuinely cared that I was a safe, confident driver, ready and comfortable to drive unaccompanied by the end of the course. He’s a candid, patient driving instructor who is very good at creating a stress-free environment to learn in. I would definitely recommend him/ his company to anyone learning to drive.

I recently completed a 45hr intensive driving course with Big Tom and cannot speak more highly of the experience. Tom is an excellent instructor and is more than able to cater to your individual learning style to find the best way for you to learn. If you're looking to not just get a licence quickly, but also pass as a safe and confident driver, then a Big Tom course is ideal for you.

Big Tom is exceptional- thorough preparation and support, enabling our daughter Lottie to pass 1st time with one minor error. She is a safe, confident driver and you won’t be disappointed- everything is taken care of and communication is excellent. We’ll be recommending Big Tom- don’t put up with 8 month waiting lists with other local drivers!

Tom is so kind and patient and always explains things so well and carefully. I had problems with my driving test date due to Covid problems but he was so reassuring throughout the process. I can’t recommend him enough!

I decided to learn to drive in my 40's and was nervous about doing so - Tom completely put me at ease and is a fantastic driving instructor. Tom was able to tap into the best way to teach me to drive overcoming any nerves and anxieties. Brilliant people skills means that in a short space of time I became a confident and good driver. What makes Tom different to other instructors is the amount of material / videos etc that you are given - saved me hours of lessons - and also that the emphasis is not just on passing your test - but becoming a real world driver! Could not recommend Tom more.

I booked a block of lessons with Tom because I needed to pass my driving test on a short timeframe for a new job. To my delight, Tom prepared me excellently for my test and I was able to pass. Tom’s teaching and communication is fab, he was always clear which reinforced my understanding.

Our daughter has been learning to drive with her father, during covid, when no professional instructors were able to. Her test is coming up, we felt she would benefit from some instruction from a driving school, and after messaging quite a few, with no response at all, Big Toms driving school replied straight away, very willing to try and help, and at short notice too. Our daughter had a 2 hour lesson, which was of great benefit to her, the instructor couldn’t be more helpful and honest with things she needed to look out for and do. It has given her the confidence she was lacking, to take her test. I would recommend Big Toms driving school to anyone looking for driving lessons, very helpful, very friendly and he put himself out to help our daughter.

Tom has been very patient and understanding all the way through teaching me to drive. Everything has been clearly explained and Tom would talk through different ways of doing things so you can work out what’s best for you. Any questions or queries would be answered. I wouldn’t of passed first time without Big Toms driving schools support

Had a pleasant experience, passed on my first try.

I did a 2week course with tom and found him very easy to get along with.and has a calming nature. He explained every detail of my driving as we went along. He built my confidence up.and at the end of the course felt I was ready for my test which was 5 days later and am pleased to say I passed. I cant thank him enough for all he taught me and would highly reccomend him to anyone. Thankyou tom. Michael .

Tom did a great job of building my confidence in my first few driving lessons. The lessons were paced well, and gave me the chance to get comfortable with the techniques before we moved on. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and gave clear instructions. I highly recommend learning with him!

I came to Tom very close to my driving test thinking i was going to fail and he truly improved my confidence and put me at ease!! Just a months worth of lessons and I definitely believe without them with Tom i wouldnt have passed, I highly highly recommend!
