I was very disappointed with my interview
I was very disappointed with my interview experience at Arden University. Despite already holding a degree with distinction from another university, I felt that the interview did not adequately reflect my academic background, qualifications, or potential.
I was particularly concerned by the emphasis placed on questions about my employment situation and flexibility, rather than a deeper assessment of my academic knowledge, motivation, and ability to succeed at Level 6.
The experience left me questioning the fairness and consistency of the interview process. I believe university admissions should focus on academic ability, relevant qualifications, motivation, and potential, while treating all applicants fairly and respectfully.
Based on my personal experience, I would encourage prospective students to ask clear questions about the interview criteria and how applicants are assessed before choosing Arden Dave I wasted my time with this university and a lot of stress, the interview criteria are doge

She is incredibly supportive and very knowledgeable in term of education, guidance and communication. Reflecting for myself, I can say she helped me to understand the importance of being on track with study commitments and organising myself to achieve my short and long term goals. Thank you dear Wendy.

**Extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable handling of students who complete their course early.**
I completed all of the academic requirements for my Master's degree in July 2026 and received my final marks. My results were then due to be reviewed by the DL Exam Board on 8 September.
The problem? Arden has my tuition payment plan running until **June 2027**.
I have one overdue instalment of £1,054.84, which I have never refused to pay. I have repeatedly explained that I am expecting my Student Finance England funding and intend to clear the overdue amount and the following instalment. I have also repeatedly asked Arden a very simple question:
**If I have completed my Master's early, what happens to my SFE funding and my remaining tuition balance, and will I really have to wait until 2027 for my degree certificate simply because Arden's payment plan extends that far?**
They simply refuse to answer.
Instead, I keep receiving automated debt warnings telling me that my final award cannot be confirmed because I have outstanding debt.
So let me understand this: **Arden allows students to complete their course early, but then apparently expects them to remain tied to a payment schedule designed around the original course period — potentially preventing them from receiving their actual degree until the payment plan finishes?**
Student Finance England can reassess funding when a student completes/leaves a course earlier than originally expected. Other students have experienced their funding being recalculated accordingly. Yet Arden seems to make absolutely no effort to properly coordinate the situation or explain what happens next.
I am not refusing to pay my tuition. **I want to pay what I actually owe.** What I object to is being given no meaningful answer about how my account is supposed to be reconciled after completing my studies early.
Every department seems to pass the responsibility to another department. Credit Control talks about payment plans. Registry talks about debt. Student Finance says completion has to be formally confirmed. Nobody takes ownership of the actual problem.
And now I am being told that because I have an outstanding balance, **my final award cannot be confirmed.**
This is incredibly frustrating and, from a student's perspective, feels completely backwards.
A university should be helping a student who has successfully completed their degree resolve the financial administration surrounding that completion — **not simply sending debt warnings while refusing to answer what happens to the student's qualification.**
If Arden's actual position is that I must wait until June 2027 and pay every scheduled instalment before I can receive my Master's certificate, then they should have the honesty to say that clearly.
**Do not tell students they can finish early without explaining the financial and award consequences of doing so.**
My academic work is complete. My Master's is complete academically. The only thing apparently standing between me and confirmation of the qualification is an administrative/financial process that Arden has made unnecessarily difficult and refuses to properly explain.
Very poor communication, very poor ownership, and an extremely disappointing experience with what should be a straightforward process after completing a degree.

Avoid this university, there are better options
Avoid this university if you have better options.
I have studied here for almost five years, and towards the end of my second year I was accused of using AI despite maintaining that I had not. I submitted four appeal forms with further explanations and evidence, yet it appeared that only my first submission was properly considered.
Some modules specifically require headings, subheadings and bullet points, yet this type of formatting can apparently contribute to work being flagged as AI.
My outcome was delayed, arrived just before results were released, and resulted in a zero. The tone of the outcome letter was also aggressive and unprofessional.
I would rather not redo the assignment than do so in a way that feels like I am accepting fault for something I maintain I did not do. If I had actually breached the rules, I would accept the consequences, but that is not what I believe happened here.
I am now looking to transfer to a better established and more professional university. In February I would have been here 5 years, I would strongly advise prospective students to consider their other options carefully.
(For international students) they do threaten your visas and student loans, although I am not an international student, it was still included in the email.
There are also constant website changes, poor communication and, when communication does come, it often causes more anxiety than clarity.
I was told my results were available to view, yet nothing appeared. The next day, I received a harsh and unprofessional email telling me I had been given a zero for alleged AI use, largely because my work was written in note form.
The irony? It was supposed to be in note form.
Bottom line is almost 5 years of hard work down the drain, because they were not willing to listen. Their style of communication causes nothing but anxiety.

Avoid Arden University
Avoid Arden University if you value your time, money and sanity
I genuinely cannot understand how an institution can handle an admissions process this poorly.
I applied to Arden University to study Project Management, and because of their repeated last-minute requests for documents, I have now been forced to miss two intakes.
The first time, I submitted every document they requested. Then, three days before the application deadline, they suddenly asked me for another document. I was transferring from another university, and there was simply not enough time to obtain it.
As a result, I was told I had to wait from the June intake until September.
Fine. I decided to start the process again in August and made absolutely sure everything was ready. I went personally to my previous university, obtained the required documents, signatures and stamps, and submitted everything they asked for.
And then they did it again.
Three days before the September deadline, while I was abroad on holiday, they suddenly decided they needed my transcript from my first year at my previous university.
At that point I was literally on holiday without my computer or access to all my documents. Nevertheless, I did everything I could to get it. As soon as I returned, I went directly to my previous university — luggage still with me — just to obtain the document they were asking for.
I submitted it.
And this morning I was told that I cannot enrol for September and have to wait until November.
What makes this even more frustrating is that they are still asking for the same documentation.
I have spent hours emailing them, travelling to my previous university, requesting documents, obtaining official stamps and taking two days off work just to deal with requirements that could and should have been communicated much earlier.
I had everything ready. I had planned my studies. I had the money ready to pay the tuition fees. I did everything that was asked of me.
And yet I am the one who has to lose another intake because Arden University apparently cannot identify and request the required documents until three days before the deadline.
I completely understand that universities need documentation and that admissions teams have procedures to follow. That is not the issue.
The issue is basic organisation and communication.
If you know that a transcript is required for an application, why wait until three days before the deadline to ask for it?
This has been one of the most stressful and frustrating administrative experiences I have ever had. What should have been a straightforward university transfer has turned into months of unnecessary stress, repeated paperwork, missed deadlines and disruption to my work and personal life.
I would seriously advise anyone considering Arden University to think twice before enrolling.
If this is how they handle you before you even become a student, I can only imagine what the experience would be like once you are enrolled.
Save yourself the stress. Look elsewhere.

The Student Support team is amazing
The Student Support team is amazing! Amina has been extremely friendly, helpful and clear in communication. She went out of her way to help me and to solve the porblem.
I was facing a very complicated issue with my student finance due to extenuating circumstances and Amina told who to email, she personally then emailed every department to flag my query. After weeks of not getting any news, I called her again and she want out of her way again to contact other departments while on the phone with me and she fixed my problem on the spot. What could have taken another few weeks, she has resolved in 30 minuted.
God bless you, and thank you very much yet again!

I had a really helpful session with Arden Distance Learning Success Coaching
I had a really helpful session with Petronela from Arden University’s Student Success Coaching Team. She took the time to understand where I am at the beginning of my educational journey and helped me turn what initially felt like a lot of information into more manageable next steps.
We discussed how to approach my module access and project/ethics approval, understand the project requirements, familiarise myself with the relevant academic resources and databases, and start building a realistic weekly study routine.
I particularly appreciated that the advice was practical rather than overwhelming. We discussed using techniques such as Pomodoro flexibly, while also allowing proper breaks and time away from studying.
The session helped me feel more organised and gave me a clearer idea of what to focus on first as I settle into the program. Petronela was approachable, supportive and genuinely helpful throughout the session.
Thank you, Petronela, for the guidance and support.
