Afternic is good enough for basic use. The only reason I use it is because it syndicates domains to GoDaddy, which helps with exposure. Other than that, I wouldn’t rely on it. The user interface is ve... See more

Payment Not Received After Domain Sold
My domain limelight.io was auto-transferred after I sold it on September 6th. Was told funds will be disbursed in 1-3 business days. Its September 18th now. Afternic Transaction Assurance team is really nice, but I keep getting told that they are waiting to hear back from payments team.
There is a security risk with my domain being transferred and all my services still being tied to it. Please disburse the funds.

After reading through these, I’m not alone. I apparently sold my domain name weeks ago but have not received payment or any updates.
The domain sold for 5K and the last I heard 3 weeks ago was I was getting a payment of 4250 in about 7 days.
I have called 4 times and no one can help me. The domain is gone and I have not received payment.
Ridiculous.

I have sold my domain here on this site and received a email about the sale and have completed everything on the transfer domain and domain has been fully transferred and after that showed that my payment are available in 1-3 days, has been passed more of 1 week and never received anything, no payment no notification, I have send a email support and they not offer any explanation and just said "wait for updates" but not offer any explanation or any dates of timeframe, this site looks big company but looks like a poor service...

Absolutely the worst customer support ever! The domain that was supposedly leased for me has still not been transferred and I can not get anyone that knows what they are doing to help! I do not usually leave bad reviews but this has been ridiculous!

Had an issue with a domain showing "under review" so i sent the team a mail. They had the issue resolved in less than an hour and followed up. Great customer service

I received an email notification telling me that my domain has been sold via fast transfer and as I read through similar posts now, my nightmare begins on the payment. It was said that I should receive and email telling me what to do in the next 6-8 days but till nowbafter more than 10 days, nothing is happening and I do not know where and to whom to file a complain. The domain was transacted in access of 10k. Can anyone here share or have any advise? Thanks

My customer experience today via live phone call with Ivana was superb. She guided me where/how to navigate nuances of the site to locate the specific stats I sought. Well done Ivana!
Thank you!

Afternic has been exceptional for selling domains. Their platform is efficient, and the exposure my listings receive is impressive. Transactions are smooth, and their support team is top-notch. A trusted choice for domain sales.

The platform’s support is good, and responsive and even answered questions that are considered on other platforms as legal questions that require legal consultation with a lawyer. I sold a domain on it. It appears that it was sold using the Fast Transfer feature, which allows your domain and its price to appear wider and larger.

You can't even imagine what a stupid system they have. In afternic I sold a domain 20 days ago. They made me curse the day I sold it! The entire transaction has been completed. They took 25% commissions but when it comes to my money they keep neglecting it. I've been dealing with nonsense for 15-16days. I have sold almost 10 domains through Godaddy before, and instead of the payment account that has been used many times, so called accounting department is trying to make the payment with echeck, which is not used in Turkey. They know it better than me but Each time they try again and again, it charges a fee for a transaction that cannot be completed. I have tried to erase it from payee detaiks but system gave error many times. Finally did it but now they can see and keep trying to send echeck again. My remaining payment, which was 711 dollars, has decreased to 598 dollars, and there is still no decent support. A fiasco from start to finish. Stay away. Don't bother for 15-20 days like me. Damn company!!!
Update: As of 1st of August, no update from company side. They just asked for details after first review here but no resolution!

Someone paid for 3 of my domains. It took 30 days. They are not paying me, and stole my domains! Ticket number is 05264550. We will take legal action if they don't fix. Using SEDO now. Telling all my domainer friends how bad you are.
Also: in the ticket, Pavel says how should use "message a TA" link to contact -- but you guys banned my account!
You WILL resolve this via email. you WILL give my domains back.

Why would anyone do business with Afternic? They would if they want to loose their customers and get their business downhill.
Afternic is worst company to buy domains from. They are worst domain marketplace and if you want nothing but deceit, go for it.

I've been buying and selling names on Afternic since 2016 and have always had a great experience backed up by excellent service for those times when you need assistance.

Scammers, listing domains for sale which they don't own nor do their customers own and refuse to remove without you having to sign up for an account.
Be very wary if you're looking to get a domain from them.
