A smart delivery company

I was very happy with the service from Yodel. They failed to deliver my parcel one day due to my not being home. They left a calling card telling me to go online and rebook a delivery date. I didn't get round to doing this. Despite this, they came with my parcel a second time, and this time it was successfully delivered. I really like that they didn't wait for my instructions or leave my parcel languishing somewhere.

Worst delivery service I have ever dealt with

My wife is two weeks away from due date, so ordered a Moses basket, and was assured by Mamas and Papas it would arrive on the 22nd April. I stayed at home all day to accept delivery, a status update at 3pm showed "delivery attempted, left card". That was completely untrue as there was no card. At 23:33, status showed could not find address. How on earth did he put the card into my letterbox, if they couldn't find the address? (I live in a city with big letters on my house). I called yodel 5 times on that day and they assured me delivery would be done next day. It wasn't. I called mamas and papas and they said they'll do a redelivery for the 25th. Guess what, I looked at status at 8am in the morning, and they now status shows I have refused delivery at 1.17am. How could I refuse delivery at that time? This is a complete joke! I called the service center again and they are giving me the same waffle again. I'm going to have to cancel this again with mamas and papas. Advice to everyone, if you have the choice don't use YODEL!!

Swift delivery!! even faster than the texts I received!

Yodel is a great delivery service! It was an amazingly quick delivery and kept me informed with texts! Very impressed!!

When in doubt depend on Yodel to deliver it out.

Of all the delivery people we have had Yodel has to be the very best the driver was very courteous and right on the time and date the parcel was due, ( we recommend that anyone who that wants a service that is second to none get Yodel to deliver your goods at all time )

Over worked drivers who couldn't care less

Yes they are cheap but service shows it. I had a couple of bad experiences with Yodel i.e. lost deliveries, delivered to wrong address and just left on their porch without even ringing the bell etc. The most recent one being a fragile piece of electronic equipment being hauled over the side door. When I complained to the very disgruntled looking driver (he was sent back to me by Yodel customer service about a lost delivery - a separate case!) he said he didn't have the time as there were too many deliveries to make. What kind of an answer is that? What's the point in running a delivery business if you cared nothing about the state of the goods delivered? It is very well that Yodel customer service is putting pressure on the driver, but if he's pushed so much, the quality of service suffers. I don't know if it was that particular driver who had a problem, but perhaps you need to re-think your strategy.

When I buy something online I will check who they use for delivery service and if Yodel, I will NOT buy from them.

They cost you money!

Waiting for a replacement part for my work computer, paid few hundred for item and paid next day delivery. Shocked to see 'Parcel delivered' on the tracking page considering nothing has been put through the door and no one has knocked as I work in the same room were the front door is. Called them up and was told someone with a name I don't know had took delivery of the item signed for and everything!!! amazing. They deliver the parts I am desperate for to a random person. They now have told me to wait 24 hours to investigate where it is....so now 2 days I will be unable to work, disgusting...oh and the house has no front garden and is on a main road.....

poor service

slow replies on the live chat window
i booked a collection no one turned up contacted them booked it again no one turned up.
this has happened 3 times in total once a few months back and again this week.
booked it again just now....will wait and see if anyone decides to come and collect it.
I cant believe the service i would have paid a little extra for another courier to pick it up.
if there is no goodwill gesture to compensate for the delay in the delivery it will be the last time i use them and recommend them.

One sentence? Absolutely TERRIBLE

Ordering things from Amazon, Argos etc has always been quick and easy, and Yodel have delivered the items quickly, with very little pain or fuss..... Until now!

I ordered a TV from Argos, and as you would expect, I wanted it delivered quickly. Well, this was clearly destined not to happen.

I ordered on Monday, and was told it was to be delivered on Wednesday between 7am and 9pm (nice long delivery time). It didn't turn up! Funny that.

I decided to let them have another chance on Thursday.... It didn't turn up!

I just rang Argos to find out what was going on, and I was told that they attempted delivery on Wednesday, but access to the property was restricted, This is absolute rubbish as we live just off a main road, which has had plenty of heavy goods vehicles coming down. The lady on the phone then told me that it was sat at the depo, and they weren't going to attempt to deliver it again. So, without me ringing I would never have found this out, and my TV would be sat in their depo for god knows how many more weeks. I then had to give over detailed instructions of where my house is, and where to drop the tv if I am not in. I bet, when I get home tomorrow, It will not have been delivered. I HAD TO GET THE TV PUT BACK ON THE VAN FOR DELIVERY!!!

So, to summarise:

Didn't attempt delivery (I waited in and would have seen them)
Lied to Argos, saying the house was inaccessible
Didn't try to leave a card like ALL OTHER COMPANIES DO, explaining the problem and how to solve it
Left me to track it down

Out of my 5 or so run-ins with this company, I finally see just what the other 1 star reviews are saying.

They may be cheaper, but that is for a reason!

Utterly horrible experience, and they offer no compensation, or anything to say "sorry".

Driver was polite and the parcel was delivered during the time frame given. Can't ask for more than that.

Avoid. Terrible service.

Ordered an item on next day delivery to office address with someone on desk between 8.30am and 5. They "turned up" at 12.30ish and "left a card". No sign of them or the card. They are reattempting tomorrow. Driver clearly couldn't be bothered or was not even at the correct address (never had problems with any other courier company or Royal Mail that deliver here multiple times a day).

AVOID. A joke of a company!

Worst delivery service ever in the existence of delivery services. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I ordered something two weeks ago, paying the extra fee with the company I ordered with to get next day delivery. Two weeks later and I still have no parcel!

The first dail came when the delivery was attempted the first time to my home address, a blank calling card was left with no name or instructions on it, not very helpful when I live in a house with other people!

I then changed the delivery address to my work address as I realised I could not be in to recieve the parcel. Instead of changing the address, Yodel attempted to deliver it to my home address again. The best part was that I was actually in at the time as I was ill but instead of knocking, the delivery driver simply left ANOTHER black calling card. Why not just knock the door to deliver the parcel...Ithought this was common practice!!

I then spoke to someone very helpful who rearranged my delivery for the next day, this time to my work address. It has since been over a week and still no parcel! Yodel have supposidly not been able to find my work address despite it being a large site which accepts multiple deliveries of parcels a day with 24 hour security and a goods depo! They have also managed to lose my parcel for two days and the final straw is that they've now sent it back! Yesterday I was promised delivery by the end of the week by their customer services but Ive just found out they've sent the parcel back. I now have to wait for the company I ordered from the recieve and process the parcel before I can either request it be redelivered or I can have a refund. I really want what I ordered but refuse to deal with Yodel again so it looks like I'm stuck!

Worst customer service ever. All the issues were their fault yet no one has actually helped get my parcel delivered. There was one helpful person who rang me a few times to update me on my parcel but it seems it has come to nothing! A bunch of idiots that couldn't organise anything! Avoid like the plague if you actually want your parcel delivering!!!

Dani is a star!!!

After waiting on my items to be delivered today I checked the tracking and realised that the full address was not on the item, quickly found this site and emailed them at the address provided.

Dani was my point of contact and was absolutely fabulous, dealt with my query in a prompt fashion, informed delivery hub, they then sent them out and I got the goods delivered no more than 10 minutes ago.

Thank you Dani, you're awesome.

Order from sports direct never arrived,apparently 3 attempts, no card left behind in any of that occasions.
Very bad service when comes to couriers ..I send email to Chloe ( customers service) and she was chasing after that delivery.
She was brilliant and very official.
Should arrive on Saturday, they never showed up again.Send an email again and she promised me to get delivery on Tuesday
That finally happen.I guess we both celebrated
After 2,5weeks we do have our delivery but only because of her hard work not COURIERS
Recommended to send email if any problems.Couriers should be trained and not to leave everything up to their customer service colleagues.

A very polite reminder!

On receiving my delivery from Yodel, a very polite offer of help to carry in my parcel was a reminder that I must be getting on a bit? Although my parcel was a bit on the big side, it was light enough for me to manage but the offer was indeed appreciated .. no offence taken .. I may just need that bit of extra help one day.. Well done Yodel deliveryman .. & thank you!

The worst EVER!!!!

I had to stay a home the entire day waiting for my package, by 8.30pm the tracking service said that the package was still with the courier.
I checked again at 9.20pm and it said my package had been put through my letter box at 5.15!!!!. My letter box cannot fit anything more than a small envelope and I live on the first floor of a building with a security gate so that wasn't even possible. I now do not know where my package is and I cannot call customer services at this time because it is closed.
This happens far too often and the drivers don't even bother to deliver to my address correctly, I'm just sick and tired of this company at this point...
Dear retail companies, STOP USING YODEL.
