Highway robbery, mugged by computer

I ordered the goods on 18th November 2013 for Christmas and nothing arrived until Janurary 2014. I phoned regarding the return process as the items arrived too late. Incenced by the sales pitch during excessive holding time which was at full rate cost. It added insult to injury. I got as far as filling in forms for small claims court application but at 83 years of age, decided that life was too short. Sad to hear that I am not the only one stuffed by this appauling company. They should not be allowed to continue in business. I am left with goods that are not needed and the unnecessary cost for them plus the cost of replacement Christmas presents, which as a pensioner I can ill afford. I am a victim of virtual retail mugging.

Be advised DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Customer Service is incompetent possibly flying by the seat of their pants. I have had abysmal service and my issue is unresolved. My purchase was a step ladder and I wish I had taken it to the authorities to complain - basically it was dangerous and could very easily have caused serious injury.

Abyssmal Company

If you think of ordering anything from this company DON'T!
Ordered leather shoes 1st week in December 2013 still waiting now February 2014!
They did send 4 pair of boots that were never ordered and the cost of returning them as never been refunded although they return the money that they had charged for them!
Emails are never answered and the promises that are made over the phone are never kept. What kind of firm are they that not only charge premium rates for customer services but also charge for ordering from them in the first place???

Inferior quality goods.....rubbish customer service

On Dec. 1st 2013 I ordered 2 pairs of leather shoes.....buy 1 get 1 free + 2 x Windscreen Wonder .money for which was taken from my card immediately.After numerous unanswered emails and telephone calls and a letter to them enclosing all email copies to Customer service asking where my goods where a part order arrived Jan 6th 2014. Plastic uppers on the shoes and synthetic soles and the Windscreen Wonder was nothing like the advertisement...flimsy and poor quality and not a 5 piece pack as advertised....more unanswered emails asking for pre-paid returns label...eventually receive an email saying they don't have returns labels but if I got a receipt of posting I would have it refunded. Goods returned 8th Jan at a cost of £8. I immediately notified Easylife attaching a photocopy of receipt of posting. 5 emails later I am still awaiting a reply or any monies credited back to my card.
MY ADVICE IS TO STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY......I wish I had read reviews prior to orderi8ng because if I had I would not be in the position I am in now trying to get my money back......only option I have now is to let my card company sort it as from Dec. 1st the date of the order until yesterday I have sent 13 emails and received the one reply which stated they didn't have pre-paid returns labels.

worst firm I have ever had the misfourtune to deal with

ordered 2 umbrellas no communication no goods I doubt they can even spell customer service let alone provide it.I believe they are probably con men DONT BUY FROM THEM

Rubbish, I feel robbed.

I ordered a 10 piece professional standard cookware set as a Christmas present for my son. The details were in the Telegraph and although they say company is nothing to do with them I expected better as linked to their name. What I ordered was supposed to be 10 different items + lids and what I got was 10 piece including lids, so only half of what I expected. have emailed to complain and got nowhere. I even gave up a whole day waiting for their courier, not that I actually expected them to turn up - I intend to contact trading standards, and the Telegraph money person about this. Don't ever use them and tell everyone you know not to as well as they might also be let down.

Do not use - will not get goods or money back

Ordered some goods from them at the beginning of November, after about two weeks they had not been delivered so chased. Was informed that one of the items was out of stock and they don't part deliver so was waiting for the item to arrive in stock but could not give me a delivery date so I cancelled the order and asked for a refund as I paid online. Towards the middle of December I realised that the refund had not appeared in my bank account and so chased, was informed that a third party had taken the money as I paid online and they would contact them, could I also prove that the money had not arrived which I duly did. I rang several times and was always told a supervisor would call me back, this never happened after the fifth go I refused to end the call unless I spoke to someone in charge, this didn't happen but was told that the manager had just authorised a cheque to be sent out first class post for the full amount. Still ten days later I am still waiting for the cheque and to add insult to injury they have sent me a brochure, but I will never order from them again. The customer service agents will promise anything to get you off the phone.

This will teach me to READ Company Reviews before ordering next time . . . .

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I ordered a chiropody kit online and my order was confirmed by email - only to find the item 'out of stock' when I tried to track it week later. I phoned! I couldn't get through to customer service for ages – waiting on a Premium rate number. Eventually, a 'Kerry-Ann' told me the item was in stock and that a 'supervisor' would despatch it that very day. 2 weeks later NOTHING. Then I started reading TrustPilot Reviews and decided to cancel the order. I tried phoning again and gave up - so I emailed 3 times to cancel the order (just to make sure SOMEBODY there read it) and I placed the order elsewhere. The cancellation was ignored and the unwanted item eventually turned up. It was Chinese-made and of crap quality. I'm not even going to TRY to return it because I know I'll lose the product AND my money. I will never use this company again.

One of the worst companies I have used

I placed my order and received the confirmation about my order. I had a query so I emailed and received no reply so emailed again still no reply. Tried to phone and told answered in 20 seconds but just left hanging on as of course they are earning 10p a minute per call. I will also contact Daily Mail as I ordered from www.dailymailselect.com but it turns out the Daily Mail has nothing to do with Easylife Group but it is reflecting very badly on the Daily Mail. Wish I hadn't ordered from them and will never use them again.

very poor customer service. Rubbish company

On 17 November I ordered a single item online, for which i received a confirmation email with an order number and a statement in red saying 'Your purchase is complete'. When i received nothing by the 29th November i called customer service, which i have since done on two further occasions. On each occasion i was assured an answer back. Nothing since then.
The really worrying thing is that Customer Service say that they cannot access online order details. They couldn't identify the order number, they didn't find my address ( indeed the post code look up table doesn't work) they couldn't find any record of the Visa card I used to purchase the item. On the last occasion, the problem was escalated to the Supervisor ( Rose). I was promised an answer from her, but as previously - nothing!
Frankly I'm surprised that this company is still going. With some pretty slick online operators making ever more progress i doubt they will be around for long.

Just about the most useless thing I have every purchased.

I purchased a pack of 4 Mat Grips for £9.99. The grips are meant to grip the carpet over which a mat is placed one side of the grip adhering to the mat. They are made of not very hard plastic and the protusions (can't call them spikes) are blunt. They will get close to gripping any of the carpets or rugs that I have tried. They have obviously not been tested by the vendor and I am tempted to conclude that easylife is deliberately selling worthless products.

Happy to debit your account immediately even if products are not available.

I tried these guys once, fortunately paying through PayPal so did not have trouble getting a refund. I have tried again as they have stuff I want. Again they have debited my PayPal account immediately and my order now shows "awaiting picking".
Not sure at this stage if this order will work. Will update.
However, do not attempt to purchase from them unless through PayPal / credit card or some other means of getting your money back.

SHODDY PRODUCT

I ordered a set of 'CERAMIC FRYING PANS' (5 piece set # 5253) for £49-99 as shown in Easylife catalogue. What I received from Easylife on the 26 Oct 2012 was a 3 piece set #4812, - same price. I only realised the product was incorrect 3months later when I returned from holiday. However, I started using the pans. Very soon the "ultimate non-stick nano ceramic coating" failed. This is a poor quality product not worth the £4-99 delivery charge! Wish I had read Trustpilot reviews. 'Life' will be much 'easier ' without this sham of a company. ( Reluctantly have to award 1 star!)

Highly dangerous goods

I recently purchased goods from Easy Life, however a month later I had not received the order. I phoned them, and the operator located my order and was unable to tell me why the goods hadn't been sent, but assured me they'd be on their way soon as they were all in stock. I received them a further 10 days later.

One of the items that I ordered was an alkaline battery charger for £19.99.The first time that I used it the battery inside it exploded, throwing battery acid all over the product and my table. A foul smell and crackling noise was also coming from the unit. I was able to disconnect the item from the mains, and have moved it to a position of safety. I emailed Easy Life to ask them what I should do with it as I don't believe it is safe to return, or touch any further.

I have not received any response from them, despite emailing both Customer Services and the Support email address and am now furious at both the waste of money and the faulty goods. I will also be contacting Trading Standards. Don't touch this company, their lack of concern for customer safety is scary.

DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

I ordered a step ladder., glow in the dark clock and ceramic pans 23rd February 2013 .Their dispatch email confirmations dated 1st March says track your order here but goes to a blank screen so you cannot track it.
I emailed them 9th March asking where my order was and got no reply.The first i heard they had tried to deliver was when i got a delivery card from Yodel saying tried to deliver 12th March and rang Yodel which is frustrating as the automated phone system does not accept the parcel reference to arrange delivery for 15th March. Via Yodel's website i found out they had supposedly left a delivery card 8th and 11th March which i had never received. I waited in 15th March and rang to be told they were coming that day and at 12 rang again to be told they weren't and could come the next day today Saturday so fortunately they turned up at 10am.
The scratched step ladder security rail fittings do not fit
The clock ticks loudly so will not be used
The ceramic pan handles also do not fit.
Having sent 3 emails with no response and as it would cost a lot to return the goods and call 0871 number i have to put it down to experience and will never use them again

Sick and tired of rubbish service and no refund

Reading other reviews has prompted me to comment on the appauling service I received from this company. I ordered a watch for Christmas early November, it arrived 4 or 5 days before Christmas without batteries as ordered. When I phoned in December to ask what was happening with my order they told me it was 'lost in the post'.
I wasn't happy with the watch so returned it immediately on 27th December. As of 22/2/13 I have not received a refund, I was given conflicitng information i.e. watch not received and around the same time on the phone they told me they credited my account on 28th January. I queried this at the time as had checked my account and wasn't confident this was accurate information. The person on the phone said 'I don't know how long the bank takes to credit your account', in an unhelpful tone.
Phone calls are pointless and very expensive, I have sent 2 letters and received standard letters in reply with no promise of when I will receive my refund.
Enough said, but this company should not be allowed to continue providing an incompitent service.

EasyLifeGroup is an incompetent business attempt to control several Companies...

In November, or thereabouts, I ordered their magnifying glasses WITH its plastic case for £12.99, as shown in their mini catalogue.
The same items are shown in two other catalogues for the same price, (or £6.99 for the glasses alone)
The glasses arrived without the case..Their answer to my phone query, was that
it was a misprint.. They initially refused to return the difference of £6 plus p&p.
They eventually told me to return the glasses for a refund, which I did, (having obtained their return code).
I am still waiting for the refund . (22 Feb.,2013).
Everybody should submit a written complaint to their local Trading Standards Department to get this Company shut down, because of their dishonest, unacceptable trading behaviour..
Having studied the Easy Life Groups' activities,and listed complaints, it appears that they are more like an incompetent Call Centre, creaming off customers' payments, before passing those orders onto their six subsidiary companies.
Three of those Co's appear genuine, but the other three are Scams.
I feel that the police should be requested to investigate those three premises with immediate effect. QED !

Worst customer service ever experienced.

I had a really bad experience with my christmas presents, ordered on 8 December, no info from them whatsover until I chased them on 17 December to find out when I could expect delivery. I was told one of the items I had ordered was not in stock then they said that they would be posting out on 21 December, nothing arrived until 2 January! And the advert had claimed guaranteed delivery if ordered by 17th December. I complained to the ASA, and the magazine that they regularly advertise with. The ASA told me that they had been told that I was an isolated incident - rubbish! I will never order from them again. It took a long time to be sent an email telling me I was getting a refund, call agents just kept fobbing me off with delay tactics. Even when I escalated it to a manager she took my mobile number and did not return my call. Absolutely terrible, never again.

I will never deal with these people again! Rubbish customer service.

I ordered a selection of items for my husband's birthday at the end of January. These did not arrive and I had no communication from the company. No confirmation of order, no estimated date of delivery, nothing! After much chasing, some of the items turned up on 16th February. I had to cancel the other items. The items appear to be as described. But the customer service is complete rubbish. I do not feel the Telegraph should allow these people to advertise in their paper. I wish I had read these reviews before placing my order as I agree with the reviews and would definitely have learnt a lesson from them.
